When was your pet's last dental check?

Just like people, pets benefit from regular dental examinations to help keep their mouths healthy and comfortable.

A dental check can help uncover:
✔ Plaque and tartar build-up
✔ Gingivitis (gum inflammation)
✔ Broken, loose or worn teeth
✔ Oral infections
✔ Tooth root disease
✔ Painful dental conditions that may not be obvious at home

The tricky part? Many pets continue eating and behaving normally, even when they're experiencing dental pain.

That's why we recommend your pet has a dental check at least once every 6-12 months, or more frequently if they have a history of dental disease or are at higher risk.

Early detection can help prevent more serious problems, reduce discomfort, and keep your pet happier and healthier for longer.

❄️ Keep them warm and comfortable with soft bedding and cosy spots away from draughts.

❄️ Gentle daily movement helps maintain mobility - think short walks or light play suited to their pace.

❄️ Support stiff joints with easy home access (like non-slip flooring), and keep an eye on their weight, as extra kilos can add strain.

❄️ Make sure they’re drinking enough water, even in cooler weather.

❄️ Don’t skip regular health checks - early detection is key to keeping them feeling their best. 💛

Veterinary medicine isn’t always predictable.

Behind a closed consult door might be a family hearing difficult news.

In theatre, there might be a patient fighting a little harder than expected.

We don’t rush those moments. We can’t.
