Finally the weather has been kind enough for our arena install to be completed after an annoyingly long delay due to rain. Last week the drainage was finished, sand installed, and today the Multico fibre from Capricorn Australia was blended into the surface to create an amazing footing.

Now ironically we just need some rain to give it that final conditioning with our new arena rake!

Two friends and a long walk...Sharing space with a Dales Pony is a special moment in time.

A man has completed a three-week trek visiting Dorset’s hill forts, accompanied by his faithful Dales pony, who he led in hand for the entire adventure.

Roger Sewill and Scarlet took on the challenge from 14 April to 5 May, encountering everything from unpredictable weather and kit malfunctions, to blocked paths and bogs.

Today's Auction was very encouraging but unfortunately bidding didn't meet the reserve.

I can assure you that the reserve was well below his break even point, and Im humbled to see healthy bids, so thank you to those who took an interest in him.

Once you own a Dales Pony you will tell me he's worth his weight in gold.

So of cause the lovely Elliatt gets to stay at Raycroft for a wee bit longer, where we will continue to educate him and watch him grow.

🐴 Did you know? Every pony bred at Raycroft Stud comes with a registered Equine Passport.

We believe paperwork matters. Passports stays with the pony for life, recording its pedigree, identification, health records, vaccinations and ownership history, creating a valuable record for both owners and veterinarians.

You wouldn't buy a car without its service history... so why buy a horse without one?

Although Australia doesn't have a national equine passport system, we're proud to continue this practice to preserve the Dales Pony breed and provide complete transparency for every new owner.

Well, with a heavy heart, the time has come to part with this gorgeous boy! Raycroft Elliatt will be available in the next Andrew Wilson & Co Online Horse Auction on 18th-19th June.
