I think someone was getting a little impatient this morning! 😂🐾

Breakfast had been served, but I hadn’t let him out of his yard yet.

I looked out my bedroom window, and there he was, sitting there watching me!

I’m pretty sure he was thinking, “Excuse me, I’ve had my breakfast, so what’s the hold-up? You’re normally letting me out by now!” 🤣❤️

Don’t you just love the expressions on their little faces? Sometimes you can almost hear what they’re thinking! 🐾💕

🐾 Lunch Date with My Labradors! 🐾

Enjoying a lovely lunch in downtown Dubbo with Maple and Jenny. ❤️

As you can see, Labradors don’t have to be food-obsessed or have their noses in everything you’re eating!

Labradors are one of the easiest breeds to train. They’re intelligent, eager to please and very capable of learning good manners. You just have to put in the time, be consistent and believe you can do it!

One of my biggest tips: Never feed your dogs from your plate or while you’re sitting at the table. If you don’t teach them to expect your food, they’re far less likely to beg for it.

Good manners don’t happen by accident. They’re taught through patience, consistency and training.

We even had a bit of unexpected excitement while enjoying our lunch! Not far from where we were sitting, there was a police arrest taking place, with quite a commotion going on. 🚔

Naturally, Maple and Jenny looked up to see what all the fuss was about, but they remained calm and settled.

I actually think it’s great for dogs to experience different situations like this, provided they’re comfortable and not overwhelmed. The more they’re exposed to everyday sights, sounds and unexpected distractions in a positive way, the more confident and bombproof they become.

You can’t always predict what’s going to happen when you’re out in public, and that’s exactly why I believe real-life experiences are such an important part of training.

Just another day in downtown Dubbo for ya! 😂🐾

And for those who remember my beautiful Paprika, Maple is her daughter! ❤️

❤️ Paprika – Spreading Love & Happiness 🐾❤️

A big thank you to Lenore Dodd for sharing these beautiful photos of Paprika doing what she does best – bringing love, comfort and happiness to others. ❤️

It’s always so lovely receiving updates on my retired dogs and seeing the wonderful lives they are living.

Paprika is a registered Therapy Dog, and it warms my heart to see the difference she is making in people’s lives.

Lenore shared that this lovely gentleman rarely gets to leave his group home, and Paprika certainly brightened his day. Just look at the beautiful connection between them. ❤️

As a breeder, there’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing my dogs go on to do such meaningful work. It’s not just about the puppies we raise, but the lives they touch long after they leave us.

So proud of you, Paprika, and thank you, Lenore, for giving her such a wonderful life and allowing her to share her love with those who need it most. 🐾❤️
