Yesterday sat the 29th Aug we kicked of our 4 week dedicated recall class. We had 7 teams eager to learn and build their understanding of how to develop a great recall with thier dogs. Week one they learnt 4 fun games and skills to create the foundations to a great recall, I can not wait to show all teams what they will be doing in week 2,3 and 4🤩

My amazing Scooter has been doing therapy work for 10 years and will be retiring from it the end of this year. How many lives he has touched in this time, smiles he has put on faces, how many situations he has made better in that moment of time I don't know. All I know is that it has been many and he has given his love to these strangers with all he has.

Shine has had a busy week, Thursday we had so much fun presenting our little dog Saftey program at Dubbo South Primary School and showing the class so tricks. Then today Shine visited many patients and staff in the Oncology unit at Dubbo Base Hospital.

🚩 Red Flags – When You Should Walk Away

Buying a puppy is exciting, but don’t let emotion override common sense.

A cute face should never stop you asking difficult questions.

Watch out for these warning signs:

🚩 Puppies always available
🚩 Pressure to pay a deposit quickly
🚩 You can’t meet the mother
🚩 Everything is advertised as “rare”
🚩 The breeder can’t explain why they chose the mating
🚩 They don’t ask you any questions
🚩 They claim their dogs have “no problems”
🚩 Puppies leaving too early
🚩 No paperwork, receipts or contract
🚩 No support once you’ve taken your puppy home

The biggest red flag of all?

A breeder who seems more interested in selling puppies than improving the breed.

A responsible breeder will welcome your questions, be honest about their dogs and remain a source of support for the dog’s entire life.

🐶 Never be afraid to walk away. The right breeder is always worth waiting for.
