Meeting Nurse Ting who runs our puppy pre school classes.
1. What inspired you to become a vet nurse?
I’ve always been drawn to the idea of being a voice for animals who can’t speak for themselves. Growing up around pets, I saw how much trust they place in us, especially when they’re unwell. Becoming a vet nurse felt like the perfect way to combine my love for animals with a career that makes a real difference every day.
2, What do you love most about working in this community?
This community genuinely cares about its animals, and that makes my job incredibly rewarding. I love the relationships we build — not just with the pets, but with the families who treat them as part of their lives.
3. What’s one piece of advice you wish every pet owner knew?
I wish every pet owner knew how powerful preventative care is. Regular check‑ups, dental care, parasite prevention, and early intervention can save pets from so much pain — and save owners from unexpected stress and costs. Pets are great at hiding discomfort, so even small changes in behaviour, appetite, or energy are worth checking. Early care truly makes a lifelong difference.
4. If you could live in any movie, what would it be?
I’d choose a movie where animals and humans live in harmony — like Zootopia. A world filled with kindness, curiosity, and a bit of adventure sounds perfect. Plus, who wouldn’t want to spend their days surrounded by talking animals with big personalities?
