Snake season is well and truly here!

We had this little whip snake tucked away in our storage area recently and had to call in one of our local snake catchers Conserve AU to safely relocate him

It’s a good reminder that it’s time for a tidy up around the property. Clear away wood piles, long grass and clutter, keep feed stored securely and stay on top of rodents that might attract our scaly friends

If your feed storage needs an upgrade or you’re stocking up on rodent control, we’ve got plenty of options to suit your needs

Apparently they really do have a day for everything

We all know what makes a good layer!
Good feed, plenty of fresh water, a comfortable place to lay, enough daylight and a happy, healthy hen

And if you occasionally get a tiny egg, a massive egg, a wonky one or something that makes you wonder what exactly happened in there…
Usually, the answer is just ~ chickens

If you’re looking to bulk up the brood for spring, we’ll have a local producer in store this Sunday with mixed baby chicks looking for their new flock

Happy Father’s Day from Dayboro Pet & Rural, but an extra special one to our very own Dan, who gets to celebrate his very first Father’s Day this year

Some of you may have noticed we’ve been a little quieter than usual on our socials lately, and there’s been a pretty special reason why.

On July 13th, Dan and Em welcomed their little boy, Archer, into the world a little earlier than expected. Their first few weeks as a family of three didn’t quite go to plan, with a few unexpected medical challenges and some time spent in hospital, so our attention has understandably been a little closer to home.

Thankfully, things are beginning to settle and they’re slowly finding their feet as a family of three, and around the shop again too.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandads, stepdads, father figures and pet dads in our wonderful community. We hope you get thoroughly spoilt today!
