๐คข๐ถ Vomiting in Dogs โ What You Should Know ๐ถ๐คข
Just like people, dogs can sometimes have an upset stomach. Occasional vomiting may not be serious, but repeated or unusual vomit can be a sign of something more concerning.
๐ก Types of vomit and what they mean:
๐ธ Yellow bile โ often from an empty stomach or acid reflux.
๐ธ White foam โ may be reflux, but could also be an emergency if paired with bloating or pain.
๐ธ Clear liquid โ can happen after drinking too much water.
๐ธ Mucusy/slimy โ possible parasites, spoiled food, or contaminated water.
๐ธ Blood or coffee-ground appearance โ ๐จ urgent vet visit needed.
๐ธ Brown vomit โ could mean digested blood or f***l matter. Seek help immediately.
๐ธ Grass โ not always serious, but repeated grassy vomit may point to an underlying issue.
โ ๏ธ See a vet right away if your dogโs vomiting is frequent, contains blood, looks like coffee grounds, or if your pup seems weak, bloated, or in pain.
