absolutely devastated to hear of the sudden loss of one of my first clients.
i’m so sorry sharlene & the family, & to stormy…
we’re going to miss her sweet smile, constant wagging tail & the most adorable head tilt 💔💔💔

the worst part of falling inlove with the dogs is the grief when you have to say goodbye, but so grateful for the last 6 years…

i’m so sorry to her beautiful mama.
please know that my thoughts and heart is with you sharlene.

The burnout that has hit me this weekend was the reminder I needed that even if I am slowly getting better, taking on a few more dogs a week, that I am still not ready for even half of the amount of dogs I did a year ago.

As much as I love my job, my clients, the dogs… as much as I miss you all and wish everyday for time to fast forward so that I was able to rebuild my business and take on the clients that I had to refer elsewhere for the time being (one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever done)
I know you all understand that at the end of the day, I need to be the best version of myself for my kids, and I shouldn’t be attempting to push myself to get back to where I was, even at Christmas time…

I really hoped things would be better by now and I’d be in a position to work more and take all my clients back, but unfortunately it’s looking like that wont be happening and things will be continuing into the new year…

I am so grateful to all of you.
For your patience, kindness and understanding this year.
For the flowers, chocolates and tips.
For the little gifts for the kids, (including the christmas cupcakes and handmade earrings 🥰)
For the advice, shared tears and hugs of empathy.
& for the beautiful words that have given me the strength I needed to get through this.

The kids have enjoyed making little christmas presents, to let you know how much we appreciate you.

I know I should be slowing down more. taking at least a week off to recover and adjust…
but I don’t think I’d be okay if I didn’t have you guys. and the dogs. so grateful to be able to do what I love. so thank you again for giving me time to rest and take longer than usual… so I don’t have to stop completely ❤️‍🩹

a few of my clients know, but word is spreading around town so I thought I should post, to let those who don’t know…

those close to me know I was diagnosed autistic last year, along with both my kids.

we’ve had a big life change happen in the last few months, and life has been hard.

I cut down earlier this year to be there for my kids more, and things were good. but going through this big change now, I’m unfortunately needing to cut back even more or at risk of needing to stop entirely, which is the last thing I want.

i hate having to refer some clients to other groomers or being unable to fit my cancellations back in for a month,
but I have no choice until I’m back to normal…

I’ve cut down dramatically, but I’m going through a pretty severe period of burnout, so I’m not just delayed at replying to messages but I’m taking much longer than usual to complete grooms because of all the breaks I’m needing to take…

I’m so sorry I’ve been so slack with messages and taking so much longer. hopefully I’ll be back to full capacity in a couple of months once my brain has adapted to the drastic changes happening in our lives.

bookings will also be changing, so I’ll be working more one week and less the following week.
once I have the ability to sit down and look at my books, I’ll contact you if I need to shuffle things around 🤍

my clients have been absolutely incredible, offering me nothing but support, telling me to take my time, giving me words of encouragement…

thank you from the bottom of my heart for the patience, love and understanding you guys have given me.

life is kicking my butt at the moment, and I honestly don’t know how I’d get through this without you, and the dogs ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
