โ ๏ธ Know the Signs of Tick Paralysis:
Tick paralysis is a medical emergency. If your pet has a tick, you may notice:
โข A weak, wobbly, or "drunk" walk, especially in their back legs
โข Coughing, gagging, vomiting or retching when they try to swallow food or water
โข A change in their voice (a different sounding bark or meow)
โข Heavy, loud, or rapid breathing
โข A total loss of energy
๐ก Two Golden Rules for Spring & Summer:
1. Protect Year-Round: Ticks don't take holidays, so flea and tick prevention shouldn't either!
2. The Daily 1-Minute Check: If you've been walking near bushland, tall grass, or the beach, run your fingers through your petโs coat every single day. Focus on their head, neck, and under their collar, where 80% of ticks love to hide!
