As another harvest season comes to an end, our hearts are full 🌾❤️

We are deeply grateful for all the beautiful souls who crossed paths with us, lived with us, worked hard beside us, shared meals, sunsets, laughter, stories, music, and memories that will stay with us forever.

From early mornings in the fields to late nights around the firepit… many of you became part of our little family here at One Life Live It House 🏕️✨

Seeing strangers arrive and leave as friends is one of the most special parts of this journey.

But behind the scenes… harvest season isn’t always easy.

Opening your home and your heart to people means wearing many hats — host, cleaner, organiser, problem solver, counsellor, and sometimes even social worker.

Not everyone understands the amount of energy, trust, sacrifice, and care that happens behind closed doors.

Some people leave beautiful memories… others leave lessons.

From unpaid stays, lack of commitment, disrespect, or disappearing without a word — it can be emotionally and financially draining at times.

But despite it all… we still choose kindness.
We still choose to believe in people.
And we believe life has a way of teaching lessons through people’s own actions.

We also want to give a little shout-out to our farmers 🌱
Sometimes people forget that we cannot control who turns up motivated, who is hardworking, or who truly commits to the job. What we can control is doing our best to provide workers, support people, offer accommodation, create a positive environment, and help where we can.

This industry comes with challenges for everyone — farmers, workers, and hosts alike — and we truly appreciate the good people who make the hard seasons worth it.

To the ones who respected our home, appreciated our efforts, worked hard, laughed with us, cried with us, shared life with us, and truly felt at home here… thank you ❤️

You are the reason we keep opening our gates season after season.

This journey teaches us something every year.
And next season… we come back wiser, stronger, and still with open hearts 🌾✨

Here’s what some of our beautiful workers had to say ❤️🌏

Looks amazing.
Smells like fresh earth.
Feels like peace. 🌿

But behind this…
there’s hard work. Every single day.

$30 in petrol just to keep things moving.
$90 in fertiliser to keep it alive.
Water… and more water.

And in times like these, that’s not small.

This space doesn’t just happen.
It’s maintained with effort, with love, with sacrifice.

Every patch of green you see…
has been fought for.

So when you come here —
run barefoot, breathe it in, slow down…

Just know…there’s a whole lot of heart in this land 💛🌾

Working Holiday Crew — this is morning here.

Early light.
Cool air.
Boots by the door.

Coffee steam rising.
Quiet before the day begins.

No rush.
Just readiness.

Most working holiday crew underestimate one thing:

Where you sleep determines how long you last.

Harvest is physical.
It’s early mornings.
It’s real work.

You need rest.
Not noise.

Save this before booking your next spot.

This week our mailbox reminded us why this place exists.

Two golden cards resting on the gate.
A Christmas postcard from France.
A card from Holland announcing the birth of a newborn — a life that began from a connection made here, at our farmstay.
And the visit of our very first traveller with his beautiful daughter … 14 years later.

In a world of instant messages, someone took the time to write, to stamp, to send a piece of their heart across the globe.

These postcards aren’t just paper.
They’re stories.
They’re love.
They’re proof that real connection lasts.

Feeling deeply grateful today 🤍🌍

If you miss nature
but don’t know where to go that still feels real —
you’re not alone.

A lot of families tell us this.

They don’t want crowds.
They don’t want schedules.
They don’t want another place that looks “natural” but still feels busy.

They just want space.
Quiet.
Land that lets everyone soften without trying.

Somewhere kids can wander.
Somewhere adults can sit down and actually stay there.
Somewhere the noise drops without being told to.

That kind of place is getting harder to find.
But the longing for it hasn’t gone anywhere.

If this resonates, you’re not broken for craving it.
You’re remembering something real.

Save this if you’re holding onto that feeling.
