So much went into planning this purpose built equicentral agistment loafing yard, but the hardest thing to plan was water drainage. Last winter I just had to let nature take its course and see where the water wanted to go, this year I solved 80% of drainage issues with a gravel drain that is working wonders! A few small extra drains next year in strategic areas and the loafing yard will be always dry meaning the horses can get their hooves out of the wet mud! 🙌🏻
