We understand that finding a snake is unexpected, so we often get asked why there is a fee for it to be relocated.
The simple answer is that snake catching is a private, professional service. Not a government or council-funded service!
Our service operates 24/7, including nights, weekends and public holidays. Every call involves travel, time, specialised equipment and the knowledge and experience required to safely locate, handle and relocate snakes, including venomous species.
Like any small business, there are significant ongoing costs including licensing, insurance, vehicles, fuel, equipment, protective clothing, training, advertising, software, accounting, wages and administration! We also invest time and resources into public education and snake awareness.
We provide free identification and general advice wherever possible and always try to be reasonable and assist those who genuinely need our help.
Our fees allow us to remain available, properly equipped and qualified to provide a safe and professional service whenever you need us! 🐍
