Bellanova Cat Haven - Breeders of Siamese, Orientals and Toygers

We finally got around to putting it all together. Bellanova kitten playroom is officially open, and today was the first big adventure with our Siamese, Oriental and Toyger babies all meeting together. 💛

There were zoomies, curious little noses, climbing, pouncing, investigating every corner, and of course a few moments of sitting back to watch all the excitement unfold. It didn’t take long before everyone was testing out the cat tree, tunnels, beds and all the new toys.

Creating enriching spaces like this is so important for kittens. It helps build confidence, encourages natural behaviours like climbing and exploring, supports socialisation with other age kittens, and gives them plenty of opportunities to develop coordination and problem-solving skills, all while having an absolute ball.

It’s not quite finished. Still to come are climbing wall ledges and a climbing rope and ceiling net, to create even more opportunities for the babies to explore, climb, balance and burn off some of that endless kitten energy.

Safe to say… the playroom has already received the Bellanova seal of approval! Now to see how long it stays this tidy! 😂🐱💕

Sunday afternoon mood, courtesy of Zar Zar (aka Izar) 😴🐯

No plans. No responsibilities. Just find the softest spot in the house, fluff out that magnificent tail and settle in for a serious afternoon of doing absolutely nothing. 😂

Our beautiful fluffy Toyger boy has definitely mastered the art of the Sunday chill. 🧡🖤

The only thing missing is a few house slaves on standby for belly rubs and snacks… because even relaxing is hard work when you’re this handsome. 😹 🐾

He has been raised inside our home and is well socialised with the everyday sights and sounds of family life. Like most Orientals, Hunter thrives on company and interaction and would suit a home that understands and loves the affectionate, intelligent and wonderfully quirky nature of the breed.

He will leave us:

🐯 Tiny Toy Tiger Pile-Up 🐯

Just your average day at Bellanova… where one Toyger turns into two, two becomes three, and before you know it you’ve got a full-blown tiger pile-up! 🤎🖤

Some are busy wrestling, some are supervising from the back, and one is making sure they’re front and centre for the camera. They look like the picture of peace and relaxation, but don’t let that fool you. The slightest leg movement, a twitch of a tail, or even a suspicious glance is all it takes for the entire pile to transform from calm cuddle puddle to full Tiger Mode, stalking, pouncing, wrestling, and zooming in every direction! 🐅

✨ Congratulations to Bellanova Tiggearah & Bellanova Rahnas owner and their fantastic Queensland show last weekend! ✨

There is nothing quite like seeing kittens you’ve bred out there doing what they were born to do, and last weekend was no exception.

A huge congratulations to Tiggearah, who proudly took out Best Shorthair Desexed Cat at the Queensland Feline Association Cat Spectacular! 🏆💗 What an incredible achievement and so well deserved.

Rahna also looked absolutely beautiful throughout the weekend, representing the Toyger breed with elegance, confidence and that stunning Bellanova temperament we work so hard to preserve.

Watching our Bellanova babies continue to shine in the hands of their dedicated owner is one of the most rewarding parts of breeding. We couldn’t be prouder of both cats and are so grateful to their owners for the love, care and commitment they put into presenting them so beautifully.

Congratulations again on a wonderful weekend, we’re excited to see what the future holds for both of these gorgeous Toygers! 🐯🧡

Been a little slack on the social posts lately. There’s been so much happening here at Bellanova! Between kittens, everyday cattery life, work and the farm, social media has definitely taken a back seat.

So here’s a little catch-up with some photos from our last few shows. (There are more but I had no one to take the photos at one of the shows) 🐾💙

Watching our cats step into the show hall with confidence, curiosity and their wonderful temperaments is what it’s all about. Every show is another opportunity to showcase the breeds we love, catch up with our amazing cat show family, and continue learning along the way.

A huge thank you to the judges, show committees, stewards and everyone who stopped by for a chat. Your support, encouragement and kind words mean more than you know.

With his striking wild markings, soulful eyes and gorgeous longer coat, this rare little boy is truly something special — a tiny star who shines in his own unique way. 🌟

A bundle of fluff who loves nothing more than to flop down beside you, roll over and demand endless belly rubs, Zar Zar has perfected the art of making humans fall completely under his spell. 🧡

His name Izar couldn’t be more fitting, meaning “rare star”, because a kitten this special doesn’t come along every day.

Could you be the lucky human who earns the honour of becoming his personal staff? 🐱👑

Not quite how we planned to spend our day… 💔

One of our little colts had a trip to the vet today after a mishap with the fence. He was an absolute superstar, standing quietly, being so brave through his treatment and taking everything in his stride. 💙

He now has a few weeks of healing ahead of him and will have to spend his time on stable rest, which means no playing with his buddies for a little while. That will probably be the hardest part for this social little man.

The good news is he’s bright, eating, walking comfortably, and already proving just how tough and resilient little horses can be. Now it’s time for lots of care, cuddles, and patience while his body does its job.
