This little fella had a rough start in life this afternoon and had to be pulled but is up and about now and doing well. This is our first calf from our simmental bull over one of our droughtmaster heifers. We went with this cross to allegedly produce smaller calves at birth but a higher growth rate. Not sure how that one went. He definitely has some size about him.

Bit of an update on Kaos from our last litter that ventured up north. At only 6 months old he had his first look and worked a decent mob of cattle into the yards to be treated, sorted ect. He apparently went well on his first real job. Well done Stef and team, looks like he is fitting in nicely.

Luna had a bit of a mischief on the last pig Saturday night and ended up at the vets after her canine tooth was knocked out of its socket. They removed the tooth today and all went well. The vet said they have treated plenty of broken canine teeth but have never seen the whole tooth turned and hanging out of the socket. It hasn’t affected her appetite, she is one tough little critter. A bit of a rest and healing now.

Pigs were out in full force on the full moon last night, we only took the 2 dogs, Luna and Duke as storm is still recovering from an incident last weekend. We ended up with 3 for the night, all caught in some pretty wild thick hilly country. They sure know where to go to try and escape but nothing gets away from the dogs in full hunting mode.

I love it when I get sent pics and updates on our pups, this is Tulla from our last litter who is growing into a stunning and capable working dog. Good job guys, keep up the good work.

Due to no fault of his own 6 month old chief from our last litter is looking for a new home as his owners are moving overseas. He is a cracking little pup and has been introduced to livestock and is showing plenty of interest and ability. If you are interested in taking this fellow on to further his training or looking for a companion dog message me and I will pass your details on.

Jett from our last litter arrived today and will be boarding with us for a month while his owners are on an OS trip. He was excited to see his mum and sister and fitted in well with the rest of the crew. At only 6 months old he is a lovely natured pup and full of energy.

Nice little surprise at Roulette this morning in the calving paddock. We have been waiting a while for this little bloke to come out and say g’day.

Received an update on this fella that went up north from our last litter, he is doing well hanging with the mustering crew learning the ropes and enjoying life. He definitely has his dad’s looks, how’s those piercing eyes!

We took the hunting dogs out late Friday afternoon and came across a fair mob of pigs on some local crop country, the dogs worked awesome and ended up pulling up one each, then later that night we decided to take the girls for a run on another block leaving duke at home and they worked together stopping a big girl in her tracks singling her out of another rather large mob. Awesome job by all dogs.
