Happy heavenly 18th birthday to beautiful Bean 🤍🌈🐾✨

Bean was a very special patients who I had the privilege of helping and caring for over the years. 🤍 She was deeply loved, deeply cherished, and leaves behind such a big space in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Although Bean is now over the rainbow bridge, her family and I truly believe she has been sending little signs to let us know she made it safely; and that she is still watching over us with love. ✨

I often say that love does not end when our pets leave this world. It changes form. Sometimes it appears in feathers, butterflies, sunsets, dreams, lady beetles, finding your favourite things, or those quiet moments where we suddenly feel them close again.

Today we celebrate Bean, her beautiful long life, and the love she continues to leave behind. Happy birthday sweet girl. You are so deeply missed and forever loved. 🐾🤍

Wishing you and your fur families a gentle and peaceful Easter 🤍🐣

While this season can bring moments of joy and connection, we also understand that end-of-life journeys don’t follow a calendar. They can happen at any time, even during the holidays.

We remain open over Easter to support families needing guidance with pet euthanasia, palliative care for pets, and pet cremation, always with compassion, calm, and care.

If you need us, we’re here. 🌿🐾

In Loving Memory of Zeus 🤍

Our beautiful friend Zeus 🐾 the gentlest Bull Terrier and one of the very first friends we made when we moved to Melbourne in 2019.

Some dogs leave paw prints far beyond their own families, and Zeus was one of those special souls. Calm, kind, and quietly loving 🐾 he was the kind of dog you never forget.

A couple of weeks ago we had to say goodbye, and our hearts are still so heavy. He will be forever missed and always remembered with so much love.

Run free, sweet boy. You were truly one of the best. 🐾🤍

Guilt is one of the quietest, heaviest parts of pet grief. 🌈
It shows up as “what ifs” and “I should have…” even when you loved deeply and did your very best.✨

If any of these thoughts feel familiar, I hope this offers you a little softness.🤍
You made the most compassionate decisions you could with the information you had at the time.
Your pet knew love. And that matters. 🙏🏼

If you’re feeling weighed down by guilt, you don’t have to carry it alone.

In Loving Memory of Rosie 🤍🌈✨🪽

Rosie, the most beautiful golden retriever, and a soul I grew deeply fond of over the years. What began as a vet–patient relationship grew into something much more, and her family became family to me too.

For the past two years, we walked alongside Rosie through her arthritis journey, helping her stay comfortable, mobile, and surrounded by love. Knowing she was able to enjoy one last Christmas with her family means more than I can put into words.

As we said goodbye, there were many tears, but also so much gratitude. And yesterday, as the sun set in the most breathtaking way, it felt like Rosie’s gentle reminder to look for her in moments like that. In warmth. In light. In love.

Forever cherished, sweet girl. 🤍🐾

✨ WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE
GENTLE HOME GOODBYES ✨

Families often ask what makes Gentle Home Goodbyes different.

The answer is simple 🤍 we choose to stay small, so the care can stay deeply personal.

Led by Dr Taylah and supported by a carefully chosen team, every goodbye is unhurried, emotionally safe, and centred around your pet, your home, and your family 🤍

There is time for questions.
Time for tears.
Time to say goodbye in a way that feels right.

If you’re facing this decision, please know you don’t have to rush, and you don’t have to do it alone 🌿

NEW DEVELOPMENT THIS WEEK! How we diagnose doggy dementia is changing, and that’s a really good thing.

Thanks to new international veterinary guidelines, we are now recognising Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (doggy dementia) earlier and more accurately than ever before.

And here’s something incredible:

🐶 Dogs age quickly;
six months of a dog’s life can equal three to four human years.

That means what takes years to study in humans
can be learned in months through our dogs.

So by supporting senior pets with cognitive decline,
we are not only improving their comfort, clarity and calmness…
we’re also helping researchers better understand Alzheimer’s disease in people. 🤍

Our dogs give us love their whole lives
and now, they’re helping science care for us too.

Swipe through to learn how vets diagnose doggy dementia
and what you can do if you’re noticing changes at home.

Over the Christmas period, we will be working with limited availability so we can also spend some quiet time with family and loved ones.

If you are anticipating that your pet may need support during this time, I strongly encourage reaching out early so we can plan ahead where possible.

Thank you for your understanding, and for always trusting me with your most precious souls 🤍
