Revy was vomiting and feeling very unwell … turns out she had swallowed a ball! We were able to remove the ball using an endoscope, meaning we didn’t have to surgically remove it. The endoscope always attracts quite a crowd - it’s so interesting! Revy is now feeling a lot better at home and is back to her normal self 🥰

Is your pet up to date with their tick prevention? 🚨

Paralysis tick season is well and truly here - though pets can suffer from tick paralysis at any time of the year.

The Northern Beaches is one of the highest-risk areas for paralysis ticks in Sydney, so it’s important to take prevention seriously.

Here are the cruel facts about tick paralysis:
🚨 Tick paralysis is unpredictable, and outcomes are never guaranteed.
🚨 Just one tick can be deadly to a dog or cat, even with veterinary treatment.
🚨 Treatment for tick paralysis can be very expensive.
🚨 Indoor-only pets can still be affected.

The ONLY way to prevent your pet from suffering from tick paralysis is to keep them up to date with an appropriate tick prevention product.

Before applying a tick prevention product, make sure you check:
✅ It is suitable for your pet’s species and weight range
✅ How long the product lasts and when the next dose is due

There are a variety of formulations available, including injections, chews and spot-ons. We’re always happy to help you choose the best product to suit you and your pet’s needs.

If you have any questions, find a tick on your pet, or think your pet may have tick paralysis, please come in straight away or give us a call immediately on 9971 8487 to speak with one of our team members.

Congratulations Summer! 🐾🎉☀️

We recently celebrated the completion of Summer’s treatment for immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia (IMHA) — a condition where the immune system attacks the body’s own red blood cells.

It’s been a long journey, with over a year of treatment, but under the care of our wonderful Dr Kate, Summer no longer needs any further treatment or testing and can now carry on as normal.

We’re so happy for this gorgeous girl and look forward to seeing her again for her annual check-up! 💖

Yesterday was a sad day as we said goodbye to our wonderful Dr Jess 😢

For the past 3½ years, Jess has been a dearly valued member of our team. Her knowledge, kindness and compassion have made a lasting impact on her patients, their families, and all of us who have had the privilege of working alongside her. She’s been a much-loved colleague, always bringing warmth, laughter and support to the clinic.

Jess, thank you for everything you’ve done. We’ll miss you very much and wish you all the best as you move back to Singapore! We know you’ll do amazing things in your next chapter. ❤️✈️
