AVIAN INFLUENZA NOTICE

Dearest caregivers,

The Bird Boarding Trust team are uniquely responsible when it comes to maintaining a healthy bird boarding operation. Management is implementing Agriculture Victoria's best practice Area Orders across our entire client base for the foreseeable future. Our services no longer extend to poultry.

While the risk of infection of H5N1 is low to parrots commonly kept as pets, this virus is considered highly contagious amongst other bird species and mammals.

As a precaution, we require all birds traveling to our facility to be kept indoors for a minimum of two weeks prior to their boarding stay. Boarding Passes (vet checks) will be void for any bird that has been outdoors prior to boarding.

We appreciate your understanding as we take the necessary precautions to protect all of our guests and associates. If you require any further information, make use of our Bookings Text Line number (0490 139 121) and Nikki, our director, will get back to you.
