Skittles 🍭

Recently this sweet little girl got a little too excited around a roo and sadly came off second best, breaking her femur 😭

After assessment and liasing with specialists it was decided that leg amputatin was the best course of action for Skittles. She was a very brave girl and took it in her stride, hopping back to her loving owners who are now giving her lots of TLC at home and are helping her make a full recovery.

She'll be back running around in no time, getting all those sympathy pats because who doesn't love a three legged doggo 🥰

Last week we held our second annual Equine Gastroscope Days in Cloncurry and Mt Isa 🐎

Stomach ulcers 🫣

Last year one of our vet nurses' horses started playing up under saddle and became a very cranky mare. Thankfully our amazing team at Randlab were coming out and quickly diagnosed her with a serious case of gastric ulcers! She started treatment and she is now back to her normal self.

Randlab are coming out again next week and she's getting re-scoped to check they have fully resolved. 🐎
