Two great days of Agility in Parkes!

We had so much fun at our own club trial Orange Dog Sports and then today at Parkes.

Inky came out firing today despite a lot of running on Friday, she ran so fast and happy and didn’t even get tired towards the end of the day like she usually does, so proud of her.

Over the two days we got:
1st Q JDX
2nd Q JDM
3rd Q JDO
1st Q JDO
1st Q GDX

And so many oh so close runs that felt so good. Courses were flowy and I it was a joy to run, our trust and teamwork is really getting there now.

We had a successful day in Canberra today with a 1st Q in Novice Gamblers and our title plus a 1st Q in Excellent Agility! Thanks Canberra Companion Dog Club for a fun day.

Also thanks to Karen for the company, Bee and Logan had a ball playing together in the off leash field. She’s one tired puppy tonight!

Nicolaas and the kids had fun in the snow with some family and friends at Corin forest too while I was at the trial. 💕

When the “feels like” temperature is -3 degrees and it’s windy and sprinkling and your student has a million layers on and a head cold but still comes… you know you have the agility bug! And you do all the layering!!

Good luck at Agility Nationals for all of my friends and students competing this year in QLD!

I made the decision not to go this time as I only have one dog running and she’s not experienced enough yet to cope with multiple days in such a big environment, but I’m sure I’ll be there next time.

Remember to connect, watch for commitment and give timely cues. And most importantly, to have fun and focus on spending some quality time with your dogs and great friends. Agility is such an exhilarating sport, but always remember that it’s just a game and in the end, your dog doesn’t care if you win or DQ, as long as you’re both having fun! ❤️
