We have had 70mm this month and things are starting to look pretty wet with more to come in the next couple of days.

The birds are flocking to our dam which now looks like a crazy ice skating rink and the girls are staying out of the mud.

Rosie got some me time this morning while everyone was still locked up eating

With Reisling continuing to avoid being bred, I am going to pen her permanently in the Rudolph in an attempt to catch the silent cycler.

To avoid further animosity between the boys, little Cosmos can now safely return to the girls without unwanted interrelations 😬

With the help of some friends, I learnt to draw blood samples of the goaties this week in an attempt to preg test them.

Fingers crossed, my cheap ass tactics don't turn out to be a waste and 2 of these girls are actually pregnant, and one is not. But my stubborn knowledge of Rosie's relentless attempts to be bred tell me the test may be inaccurate.

Next season I may opt for the more expensive version, and not a Chinese model available on Amazon πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ but has been a fun learning curve.

Animals are the most curious creatures.

I could watch them all day.

How they interact with each other.

How they interact with the land.

How they interact with us.

How they think I always have food πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Someone(s) worked out we picked up some fresh hay today.

And the 3rd someone doesn't look like he needs anything else to eat for the rest of the time needed till we find space in the freezer 😬

Having 2 of us working on the farm has given us a bit more time to focus on the gardens.

Col has been hard at it moving the veggie beds and replanting them.

This Chili tree is is coming into its 4th summer now. It has been cut back and relocated, but it is still looking great and he is looking forward to another red hot summer 🌢🌢🌢

Might have to supplement the ducks with some peas so they stop eating the ones I'm trying to grow πŸ˜ͺ

No, this is not Melons calf. Melon is Henry's Grand dam.
There is a black dexter bull and a belted galloway in between these pair, believe it or not.

I do hope you appreciate the simplicity of my reels. I like to show others how completely silent it can be at times πŸ₯°

No, this is not a cool photo of the moon.

It is Junipers p**p under a microscope.

This week I have been focussing on worm counts to see if my herbal moon worming protocols are working.

So far counts of the yearlings are pretty good, but Juniper is one of those that may end up in the cull group. She is constantly plagued by scours and her growth is being effected by that.

I dont like using chemical dewormers due to resistance, but also for soil health and biology, but occasionally they are needed, in this case I will be using one. Then I will focus on building up her immune system so that she will be able to manage some worms.

It isn't a goal to remove all worms from the system, but having healthy goats that are able to maintain condition without being negatively effected by them.
