What a weekend! Last Sunday we hosted an ultrasound workshop right here at the clinic, and it was one for the books.A visiting specialist joined us to help sharpen our team’s ultrasound skills and we were lucky enough to welcome talented vets from clinics across the area too. Rally, Harvey, Tilly, Fergus, Annie and Arlo bravely volunteered to help give everyone some great hands-on experience with the ultrasound. Investing in our team means better care for your pets, and days like this remind us why we love what we do. Beyond the learning, it was genuinely lovely to connect with fellow vets, share how we each approach our work, and be reminded of the incredible community of people dedicated to animal health in our region.Our team came away inspired and with some new skills to put into practice for your pets. Thank you Dr Kate, Dr Shelley and Dr Tara from our clinic group for giving up your Sunday to help improve our patient care 🐾🩺💗

Hello mankind! My name is Lua and the reason I had to spend the day at the vet was because my bum was sore anda my humans noticed I kept licking, scooting and struggling to get comfortable. What looked like a small problem turned out to be a painful a**l gland abscess.

When my a**l glands got blocked, infection builds up and created a very painful swelling under my skin. It can happen so quickly and become extremely uncomfortable for dogs like me. Sometimes they can even burst, causing bleeding and a very smelly discharge.

If your dog suddenly seems uncomfortable, is licking excessively, crying, scooting, or has swelling near their bottom, please get them checked early. These abscesses are incredibly painful, but with treatment we can feel so much better very quickly! Thank you for all the cuddles Nurse Zoe and Nurse Ally, I loved them very much 💗💗

Heyyy everyone! My name is Bohdi and the team helped fix my very sore toe. I somehow managed to cut it open while playing with my friends. I got heaps of cuddles and loved my visit. Sadly I have to wear this horrible thing on my head and a weird bandage on my foot but it doesn’t hurt anymore and I’m back to being my silly self! However, I will only let them change my bandage if I get to sit on someone’s lap, after all I am a lap dog 🫣 I even heard some of the nurses say I was a brave boy 💙🐾
