💚🐾 VET NURSE AWARENESS WEEK 2026 — DAY 1 🐾💚

The Power of Healing Hands

We’re kicking off Vet Nurse Awareness Week by celebrating our lovely Roxy! 💚

Roxy is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, learning more every day and putting those healing hands to work caring for our patients. 🐾

Behind every patient are the hands you don’t always see — comforting nervous animals, helping with treatments, monitoring patients, cleaning up the less glamorous things 😅 and, most importantly, giving plenty of cuddles when they’re needed.

Roxy has a beautiful, gentle nature with our patients and a huge love for animals — especially her gorgeous German Shepherd! 🐕💚 We’ve loved watching her confidence and nursing skills grow as she works towards becoming a qualified vet nurse.

And in true Healing Hands spirit, Roxy even brought in hand masks and cuticle oils for the team so the hands looking after everyone else could get a little TLC too. 💅😂💚

Thank you Roxy for everything you do and for always lending a helping hand. We’re so excited to watch you continue growing into an amazing vet nurse. 🥹🐾

Happy Vet Nurse Awareness Week! 💚

Our beautiful Arlo was in today for a post op check and was certainly a different dog! You will recall he ate a kong which Dr Anita removed from his intestine. We are pleased to report he has bounced back like nothing happened! 😍

Sorry to all our fabulous clients for being a little quiet lately — we’ve had a lot going on behind the scenes! 💜🐾

But we’re getting back into the swing of things, and what better way to start than introducing you to this special, sweet big boof — Arlo! 🥹

Our brave boy underwent a major operation today after getting himself into a little bit of trouble… Arlo decided a KONG toy looked better in his stomach than in his toy box. 🤦‍♀️😂

Thankfully, Dr Anita was able to remove it and this gorgeous boy has been an absolute trooper through it all. 🐶❤️‍🩹

Sending lots of love to Arlo and his family for a smooth recovery 💜

So Proud of You Makani!!!! ❤️🐾

Today I couldn’t be prouder and I'm sharing with the world to congratulate our very own Makani on qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse! 🎓🐶🐱

As her employer and trainer, I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow, learn and develop into the amazing veterinary nurse she is today. She has worked incredibly hard to achieve this, putting in countless hours of study, training and hands-on experience — and she has never given up, even when things were challenging.

Her dedication, compassion and genuine love for animals have been clear from day one. She has been part of this practice from the very beginning approaching me as a young girl with big dreams seeking an opportunity. I could see she was deserving and not a day has passed I've regretted my decision. Watching her achieve this qualification makes me incredibly proud and emotional. I know this is only the beginning of what will be a fantastic career.

Congratulations Makani — you’ve absolutely earned this! ❤️

From your employer and trainer, I couldn’t be prouder. Now go out there and make a difference, one patient at a time. 🐾👩‍⚕️🎓

Well done! 🥂🎉 Love Anita and all at TVHN ❤️ xoxo

It is with great pleasure we let you all know that we will soon have a new CT machine! We are so excited to be able to offer this service to the community. Over the next 6 weeks works at the building will be happening so please bear with us during this time. We have done our best to ensure minimal disruption. All the staff send a big thank you to keiran from DRS Medical for his assistance with this project- we couldn't have done it without you. The future patients who will benefit so much from it are also most grateful ❤️

⚠️ WARNING – DECEASED ANIMAL IN COMMENTS ⚠️

We have just had a deceased cat handed into the clinic after being found in the local vicinity.

The cat is chocolate/black in colouring with medium-length fur. Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm the gender due to the condition they were found in.
There is no microchip and no collar.

We would really like to locate their family and give them some closure. 💜

Please note, we are only able to hold them at the clinic for 24 hours, so if you believe this may be your pet or you recognise them, please contact the clinic as soon as possible.
