🐦• Important Update- Care of Wild Birds • 🐦
Due to the recent bird flu outbreak, we have introduced a temporary protocol for all birds, including wildlife, to help protect our patients, staff and the local community .
If you have found a sick or injured bird, Please DO NOT bring bird inside the clinic. Instead, upon arrival notify a staff member or remain in your vehicle and call the clinic. One of our lovely nurses will then direct you to the rear of the clinic, where they will collect the bird for isolation, examination and any treatment they may need.
We strongly encourage if you have handled the bird, to wash your hands thoroughly and either discard or disinfect any towels, carriers or other equipment used.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to help minimise the risk of transmission while continuing to provide the best possible care for our feathered friends. 🦆🦜🐦⬛
