Since introducing our Australia-wide postal service, we’ve had samples travelling for several days before reaching WormScope — some around 5 days in transit — and they’ve been arriving in great condition for testing.

The key is collecting and packing your sample correctly, and we provide simple instructions so you know exactly what to do.

🌱 With spring well underway, now is a great time to check what’s actually happening with parasites rather than simply guessing who needs treatment.

🐴🌱 WORMSCOPE IS BACK — NOW TESTING FROM BOBIN!

We’ve survived the move, the microscope is unpacked, and WormScope is officially up and running from our new home in Bobin on the Mid North Coast. 🔬🩵

Local sample drop-off is now available at Bobin, and over the coming weeks I’ll be working on convenient drop-off points around Wingham and Taree.

If you’re a local equine or rural business and would be interested in becoming a WormScope drop-off point, I’d love to hear from you.

📮 Not local? No problem. Our postal testing service has been working brilliantly, so samples can still be sent to WormScope from anywhere in Australia.

🌱 And the timing couldn’t be better — spring parasite monitoring is here.

A Faecal Egg Count now can help identify which horses are shedding parasite eggs, which may require treatment, and whether your current parasite-management program is doing its job.

Rather than automatically treating every horse, test first and make treatment decisions based on the results, alongside your seasonal parasite-management plan.

📦🐴 **WORMSCOPE IS MOVING!**

After many years of testing from Cessnock, it’s time for a new chapter for WormScope. 🩵

With our big move just around the corner, **WormScope will be taking a short break for a few weeks while we relocate and get the new testing space set up.**

📍 **Our Cessnock drop-off service has now finished**, so samples can no longer be left at our current location.

But this definitely isn’t goodbye!

📮 **WormScope is moving to our postal testing service.**

We’ve been trialling postal samples over the past few months and it has been working brilliantly, so once we're settled, clients will be able to send samples directly to us for testing.

And with our **new Customer Portal now live**, your reports, testing history, parasite trends and recommendations will all be available in one place.

We’ll let you know as soon as testing reopens and provide the new postal address and simple instructions for sending your samples.

With our move just around the corner (only 3 weeks to go!), we're reminding anyone planning to have a Faecal Egg Count completed to book in soon if you'd like to use our current Cessnock drop-off service.

Once we've relocated, WormScope will continue operating with Australia-wide postal testing, making it easy to send samples from anywhere in the country.

Every sample is prepared, examined and interpreted by me, with the same care and attention I'd give my own horses.

Using the Modified McMaster technique, each faecal egg count helps build a clearer picture of your horse's parasite status. But the numbers are only part of the story.

Some days end with microscopes…

Today’s samples have been examined, results are being finalised, and apparently my supervisor has decided my mouse pad is the perfect place for a nap. 🤍🐱

Running WormScope means every report is prepared with care, even if it sometimes takes a little longer with a sleeping assistant on the desk!
