Frozen Shoulder …
Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis to give it its full name — is one of those conditions that sounds almost manageable until you are living with it.
It typically arrives in stages: first the pain, then the gradual stiffening, then the long and often frustrating process of trying to regain movement. At its worst it can make the most ordinary tasks reaching up to a shelf, fastening a seatbelt, turning over in bed genuinely difficult.
What many people find particularly challenging is that the standard advice to keep moving is easier said than done when every movement is uncomfortable.
Bowen works gently with the soft tissue around the shoulder, neck, and upper back, helping to ease the tension that builds up in the surrounding structures, and encouraging the body's own healing response. It does not force or manipulate; it works with the body rather than against it.
Every case is different, and we are not here to make promises. What we do know is that many clients dealing with shoulder pain and stiffness have found that regular Bowen sessions make a real difference to their comfort and day-to-day life.
If this sounds familiar, it might be worth a conversation.
