Casino Veterinary Clinic Casino Veterinary Clinic is a long established veterinary practice in the Casino area. All veterinarians are experienced in both medical and surgical fields.

We are a mixed animal clinic, providing veterinary services to both large and small animals. Casino Vet Clinic is a mixed animal clinic, treating all animals from cats and dogs to cattle and horses. The Vet Hospital is equipped with Portable Digital Radiographs, Ultrasound facilities, In-house blood machines, Portable Equine Dental/Mare Scanning Facilities and Cattle Hoof Trimming Facilities.

⚠️ PARALYSIS TICKS ARE HERE ⚠️

We are already seeing multiple cases of tick paralysis every week, with some sadly having heartbreaking outcomes.

Signs to watch for include:

❗️Weakness or wobbliness in the back legs
❗️Retching, gagging or vomiting
❗️Change in bark or meow
❗️Noisy or difficult breathing
❗️Lethargy, weakness or collapse

🔎 Check your pets for ticks every day and make sure their tick prevention is up to date.

💉 There is a yearly injectable tick preventative available for dogs, providing 12 months of protection against paralysis ticks.

Please ask our team if it might be suitable for your dog.

⚠️ PARVO ALERT ⚠️

We have recently seen multiple cases of parvovirus in our clinic recently.

🐶 Parvovirus is highly contagious and can be life-threatening, particularly for puppies and dogs that are unvaccinated or overdue for vaccination.

One of the challenges with parvo is that dogs don’t need to meet an infected dog to catch it.

The virus can persist in contaminated environments and be brought home on shoes, clothing, equipment and other objects.

💉 Vaccination is the most effective way to protect your dog.

If you have a puppy, please remember they require the full course of vaccinations and should be kept away from high-risk areas until their vaccination course is complete.

Please CALL BEFORE coming into the clinic if you suspect parvo. We have isolation procedures in place to help prevent exposure to other dogs and will advise you where to go when you arrive.

🚛 Casino Truck Show – Road Closures 🚛

A friendly heads-up that road closures will be in place throughout the Casino CBD for the Casino Truck Show on Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August.

Please see the attached maps for closure details.

🐾 Casino Vet Clinic will be OPEN and operating as normal, however road closures and increased traffic may cause delays getting to your appointment.

If you’re running late, please give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
