From A Dog's View

From A Dog's View From a Dog’s View is a professional companion dog training service, dedicated to the Western Subur Why Choose Us? First and foremost, we are advocates for dogs.

Their health and well-being are our top priority. We are passionate about assisting all dogs in any way that is possible. We believe that one important way we can assist dogs is to create awareness regarding dog behaviour through education. Our aim is to help the dogs in our community to be better understood. We hope that this will allow them to become well adjusted and correctly incorporated into

society and today's busy lifestyle. To compliment our passion, we set on a path to become accredited Delta dog trainers. We are qualified through the completion of a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services. Our primary trainer also has had Veterinary Nurse experience and has previously owned and ran her own successful Pet Sitting business. We are also members of The Keilor Dog Obedience Club, The Delta Institute, The Professional Pet Guild Australia and The Association of Pet Dog Trainers. All of the mentioned associations are positive reward based training organisations, who believe as strongly as we do, in one form of dog training...positive reward based, force-free training methods. We believe in allowing dogs to be "thinking dogs", dogs that make their own choices to perform the correct behaviours during training. We do not use correction collars or force to achieve a desired result. Please see Our Training Methods and Beliefs article or our Training Services page for more information regarding how we believe training can successfully be achieved without fear, intimidation or force. We look forward to sharing our knowledge with our clients and creating even stronger bonds between dogs and their owners.

A very true and important reminder by Pet Harmony. 💯🐶👍

Society has normalized walking your dog every day. And if you don't, you're a bad pet parent.

But even though some dogs thrive on daily walks, that may not be the case for others.

Some become more stressed or reactive.

Some dogs need a different type of movement, a different environment, or a different approach altogether.

If you've noticed that walks aren't helping your dog right now, you have permission to pause them.

If your dog doesn't get a walk every single day, you don't need to feel guilty.

We should not be making walks happen at all costs. We should be finding forms of exercise that actually support your dog's physical, behavioral, and emotional well-being.

Because good pet parents don't just check boxes. They meet the needs of the individual that's in front of them.

For more ideas on meeting needs that doesn't involve walks, check out some of our blogs:
