Greyhounds in regional Australia are regularly taken to vets for euthanising when they don't make the grade or their racing days are over. If they are "lucky", they are dumped at the local pound. MAKING A DIFFERENCE

date we have endeavoured to rehome as many dogs as possible, within our limited financial and manpower capacity. Due to the very nature of our rescue locations being predominantly regional, the costs incurred for transport and temporary kennelling can be extremely limiting for us financially. 🐻 Remember Bear?

Since his eye removal surgery, our one-eyed wonder has been recovering brilliantly and making the most of his new perspective on life. He may have lost an eye, but he’s gained a whole new outlook. And if you ask Bear, having one eye just means there’s 50% less effort to close his eyes and get to snoozin!

🙏 Thanks to your generous donations, Bear is now pain-free, feeling fabulous, and has his sights firmly set on one thing: a forever home.

We can’t thank our supporters enough for helping make Bear’s surgery and recovery possible. Every donation, big or small, helps us provide life changing care for greyhounds like Bear when they need it most.

Huge welcome to the colourful crew:✨ Jodie, Joe, Iggy, Connor and Marley ✨

From fawn to black, brindle to white, our latest arrivals are proof that greyhounds come in all shapes, shades and personalities. Jodie, our beautiful fawn girl, is the youngster of the bunch at just 3.5 years old. Joe, Iggy Connor and Marley are a little more seasoned, ranging from 5 to 7.5 years old.

Marley was sparkling clean with a gorgeous coat (even if he was leaving little white souvenirs everywhere thanks to some enthusiastic shedding!). Not everyone arrived quite so fresh though, and a quick detour to the dog wash was required for the remaining houndies. 🚿😅

We were also lucky to welcome a wonderful mix of foster carers yesterday, from experienced GG veterans to first-timers beginning their fostering journey. A huge thank you to Tia & Max, Sam & Eve, Evangeline & Sam, Ed’s & Guy, and Rosemary & family 🧡

And a big shoutout to Courtney, Fi and Brian for lending their Saturdays to transporting these gorgeous snoots to their next stop in forever!

🧡 This two year old heartthrob is a toy enthusiast, professional cuddle supervisor, occasional shoe relocator, and all-round good boy. He loves people, car rides, training, and being wherever his humans are.

📸 If you’re looking for an absolute stunner who’ll fill your camera roll faster than your phone storage can keep up, Rocco is ready to step into the spotlight. With his floppy ears, snaggle tooth grin, and movie star looks, he’s never met a photo opportunity he couldn’t improve.

🐼 Welcome, Panda! Much like his bear namesake, Panda seems to have his priorities sorted: eat snacks, find a comfy spot, and enjoy a really good nap.

This weekend we welcomed this lovely, confident 4 year old boy, into our program. He aced his freedom nuggets, curled up in the car, and snoozed the whole way to his foster home.

Huge thank you to Courtney for your chauffeuring and Christelle, her partner, and resident hound Elkie for opening your heart and home to Panda!

Looking for an excuse to get out of the house, catch up with fellow greyhound lovers and let your hound enjoy a leisurely sniffari?

Join us this Sunday for our St Kilda Botanical Gardens Greyhound Walk! A relaxed social stroll through one of Melbourne's prettiest hidden gems, with shady paths, beautiful gardens and plenty of opportunities for snoot to snoot catch ups (and human to human catch ups) along the way.

Whether you've adopted from Gumtree Greys, another rescue group, are fostering, or simply love being surrounded by greyhounds, everyone is welcome 🧡
