Greyhounds in regional Australia are regularly taken to vets for euthanising when they don't make the grade or their racing days are over. If they are "lucky", they are dumped at the local pound. MAKING A DIFFERENCE
To

date we have endeavoured to rehome as many dogs as possible, within our limited financial and manpower capacity. Due to the very nature of our rescue locations being predominantly regional, the costs incurred for transport and temporary kennelling can be extremely limiting for us financially. 🧡 FAWN-TASTIC FOUR HAVE ARRIVED 🧡

This weekend we welcomed not one, not two, but FOUR beautiful fawn snoots into our program!

Meet the crew ✨
🧡Star – the seasoned lady of the bunch and the only racer, nearly 4 years old and already proving herself a freedom nugget superstar.
🧡 Hughie – With striking black lines through his coat and a tail, he is giving some wolfy vibes. And freedom nuggies? Let’s just say they were inhaled 😅
🧡 Stanley – one half of our sibling duo and an absolute sweetheart, taking in the big day at his own pace.
🧡 Mina – Stanley’s sister and equally as charming. Freedom nuggets weren’t on the menu for these two just yet, but they more than made up for it with their gentle nature and sweet personalities. Clearly, charm runs in the family.

Huge thank you to our foster carers (all repeat carers!) David, Yi Fan, Hannah & Thom, and Bentley & Luke. And massive round of a-paws for Fiona and Kelly for transporting all these snoots!

🧡 Two new big boys are officially safe and settling into the good life.

Today we welcomed Romeo and Richie into care after collecting them from an adjuster in the Ballarat area. While these boys couldn’t be more different, one thing they did agree on? Absolutely not trusting the freedom nuggets 😅 we’ll get them there!

Romeo is the confident charmer of the pair and Richie is a gentle, sweet soul who’s a little more shy. Thankfully Richie has another GG foster kid to keep him company, Keira!

Huge thanks to our amazing foster carers, Patrick & Tony and Brian & his pack for opening their homes and hearts once again. Here’s to soft beds, full bellies, and learning that life is actually pretty sweet 💫

🦅 Welcome to the good life, Hawkeye!

This gorgeous 9-year-old gentleman spent his entire life in kennels as a stud dog—but as of Sunday, those days are officially behind him. One drive to Ballarat later, and Hawkeye is finally getting the life he deserves.

He’s friendly, bouncy, and already a fan of freedom nuggets (he demolished a whole 6-pack after some initial skepticism).

Huge thanks to Courtney for heading out to pick him up and Amanda & Rob for opening their home to this sweet boy. Can’t wait to watch him have endless new adventures in our program!
