We are so excited to have gorgeous Milo boarding with us for her very first staycation!

She's settling in beautifully and we're looking forward to giving her lots of love, attention, playtime, and cuddles while she's away from home.

We can't wait to get to know her personality over the coming month and make sure she has the best holiday possible while her hooman’s enjoy Spain.

✨IMPORTANT EASTER 2027 BOARDING UPDATE ✨

Just a little heads up for all of my wonderful bunny boarding clients — I will be unavailable to accommodate bunny stays over Easter 2027 as I will be travelling to China from 19th April – 30th April 2027. ✈️🇨🇳

I wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible so alternative arrangements can be organised well in advance, especially as holiday periods tend to book out quickly.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and ongoing support of our little bunny boarding family 💛

For any of our local families that utilise Redhead Vets.

I highly recommend Sugarloaf Animal Hospital for all our hoppy members.

Please be advised we are no longer able to see rabbits in our clinic . Unfortunately one of our lovely nurses has a severe anaphylactic level allergy to rabbits .
We sincerely apologise to our clients with bunnies. If you need help with your rabbits we have some lovely local clinics that will be able to help 🐰🐇

Lights out… or so we think 💤

While the humans are winding down and reaching for the blankets, the real party animals are just clocking on for their night shift.

Any seasoned bun parent knows—this is prime time for zoomies, binkies, snack inspections, and a full home renovation (usually involving tossing bowls you just placed perfectly). Rabbits are naturally crepuscular, meaning they’re most active at dawn and dusk… and very much into the evening hours too. It’s hardwired into them from their wild days when low light meant it was safest to explore, forage, and burn off all that fluff-fuelled energy.

That’s exactly why space matters. Our buns aren’t designed to be tucked away in small hutches overnight, they need room to stretch out, sprint, jump, dig, and just be rabbits. Giving them that freedom means happier, healthier, and far less “creative destruction” directed at their surroundings

Tonight’s enrichment menu includes sprigs of rosemary and thyme tucked into stacking cups and foraging mats—because what’s a midnight adventure without a little treasure hunt?

So while the house is quiet… just know there’s a whole lot of whiskered mischief happening behind the scenes .

Ever seen your bunny gently swaying or “rocking” and wondered what it means?

This behaviour, often called “zen rocking”, is something some rabbits do when they’re feeling deeply relaxed, safe, and content in their environment. You might notice your bun slowly shifting side to side, sometimes with half-closed eyes — almost like they’re in a peaceful little trance.

🌿 Why do rabbits do this?
Zen rocking can be a self-soothing behaviour, helping rabbits regulate their emotions and feel calm. It’s most commonly seen in buns who are comfortable in their surroundings and trust the space they’re in.

💛 What it tells us:
When we see this during boarding, it’s a beautiful sign that your bunny feels secure, settled, and at ease in our care. Creating that calm, enriched environment is always our top priority.

🌼 Important note:
While gentle rocking can be completely normal, excessive or repetitive swaying (especially with signs of stress) can sometimes indicate boredom or anxiety.
That’s why we focus on enrichment, space to explore, and plenty of interaction to keep every bun happy and healthy.

Your bunny’s comfort isn’t just important to us — it’s everything 🐰💕.

✨ Big Changes Happening Behind the Scenes ✨

Hello to all our beautiful bun families!

We wanted to give you a little heads-up that we’ve just kicked off some major renovations in our upstairs bunny housing area 🛠️ This means things might look a tiny bit chaotic at drop-off over the next little while — but we promise it’s all for something very exciting!

So, what does this mean for you and your precious buns?

🐇 All bunny stays will now be hosted in our downstairs area which is fully air conditioned.
🐇 The same high level of love, care, and attention remains our absolute top priority (as always!).
🐇 And most importantly — we want to reassure you that there will be NO renovation or demolition work happening while we have buns in our care ❤️

Your bunnies’ comfort, safety, and happiness will never be compromised. We’re simply making improvements to create an even better space for them in the future!

Thank you so much for your understanding and ongoing trust.

🙏

Fluffy chaos has officially taken over!

Our bunny guests discovered the ball pit today… and let’s just say it turned into a full-blown hop-fest of zoomies, dives, and the occasional dramatic flop right in the middle of it all 😂

Tiny noses twitching, ears bouncing, balls flying everywhere- pure joy in the fluffiest form imaginable. Pretty sure they think we built it just for them (and honestly… they might be right).

10/10 would host this level of adorable mayhem again 💕
