Lights out… or so we think 💤
While the humans are winding down and reaching for the blankets, the real party animals are just clocking on for their night shift.
Any seasoned bun parent knows—this is prime time for zoomies, binkies, snack inspections, and a full home renovation (usually involving tossing bowls you just placed perfectly). Rabbits are naturally crepuscular, meaning they’re most active at dawn and dusk… and very much into the evening hours too. It’s hardwired into them from their wild days when low light meant it was safest to explore, forage, and burn off all that fluff-fuelled energy.
That’s exactly why space matters. Our buns aren’t designed to be tucked away in small hutches overnight, they need room to stretch out, sprint, jump, dig, and just be rabbits. Giving them that freedom means happier, healthier, and far less “creative destruction” directed at their surroundings
Tonight’s enrichment menu includes sprigs of rosemary and thyme tucked into stacking cups and foraging mats—because what’s a midnight adventure without a little treasure hunt?
So while the house is quiet… just know there’s a whole lot of whiskered mischief happening behind the scenes .
