🐾🌴 WE’RE GROWING! COME AND BE A VET IN PARADISE! 🩺☀️

📍 Airlie Beach Veterinary Surgery Whitsundays, Queensland

Ever dreamed of living somewhere that feels like you’re on holiday every single day? Well, this might just be your sign! 🌴❤️

Just over three months ago, our enthusiastic young leadership team took over Airlie Beach Veterinary Surgery, and WOW, what a ride it’s been!

The support from our beautiful community has been absolutely incredible, and our growth has genuinely exceeded even our wildest expectations!

So much so that we’re looking for another wonderful veterinarian to join our team! 🐶🐱

And what an exciting time to come on board! Our practice is currently undergoing renovations and expansion, and we’re building something really special.

A LITTLE ABOUT US… ❤️

We’re an independently owned, small animal veterinary practice led by a young, motivated and incredibly supportive leadership team who are genuinely passionate about what we do.

We currently have four veterinarians with over 60 years of combined veterinary experience, offering an incredible depth of knowledge, collaboration and mentorship.

We genuinely LOVE our jobs. We love our clients, we love their pets, we love our team, and we actually look forward to coming to work every day!

We work hard, we support each other, we have plenty of laughs, and we’re passionate about providing the very best veterinary care we can.

We also LOVE our socials! 📱🐾 Have a look at our Facebook, Instagram and TikTok pages to get a feel for who we are. What you see is what you get!

THE JOB? LET’S MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU! 🩺

We’re not looking to squeeze the right person into a predetermined role.

We want to find the right veterinarian and tailor the position to suit them!

✅ Want a full-time role, with the opportunity to share in our after-hours on-call roster? Absolutely!

✅ A mum looking to return to the workforce and wanting flexible, part-time hours around family commitments, with NO on-call? We’d love to chat!

✅ An experienced vet looking for a fresh start, or a younger vet wanting genuine support and mentorship? Let’s talk!

We understand that veterinary careers look different at different stages of life. We want you to enjoy your work AND have a life outside it.

AND DID WE MENTION WHERE WE LIVE?! 🌴☀️🐠

We quite literally WORK IN PARADISE!

Airlie Beach is one of the most spectacular places in Australia, and our clinic is just minutes from the stunning waterfront boardwalk overlooking the Coral Sea.

Imagine finishing work and heading down to the waterfront for a walk, a swim or dinner overlooking the water.

Spend your days off exploring the breathtaking Whitsunday Islands, boating, snorkelling, fishing, hiking or discovering the Great Barrier Reef. 🐠⛵

It’s the kind of place people save all year to visit on holidays, and we get to call it HOME!

Airlie Beach has everything you need, great schools, cafes, restaurants, shopping and a wonderful community, but with that beautiful, relaxed, laid-back North Queensland vibe.

Life really is pretty special up here.

SO, WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? ❤️

Someone who is compassionate, enthusiastic, motivated and genuinely passionate about veterinary medicine.

Someone who loves working as part of a team, enjoys connecting with clients and wants to make a real difference to the lives of animals and the people who love them.

Experience is wonderful, but attitude, kindness and being a great team fit mean just as much to us.

We’re not just offering a job. We’re offering the opportunity to be part of an exciting, growing practice, a genuinely happy workplace and an incredible lifestyle.

If you’ve been thinking about a change, maybe this is your opportunity!

📩 WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

💙🐾 TWO VERY SPECIAL REASONS TO CELEBRATE! 🐾💙

Tonight, we’re celebrating two wonderful milestones! 🥂🎉

💕 THREE MONTHS OF AIRLIE BEACH VETERINARY SURGERY!

What an incredible three months it has been! We’re so grateful for the growth we’ve experienced and for the warm welcome from our wonderful Whitsunday community.

Your support, encouragement and trust mean the world to us. We feel privileged to care for your beloved pets and are incredibly excited for what lies ahead! ❤️

🐾 HAPPY VET NURSE DAY! 🐾

We’re also celebrating the absolute backbone of our clinic: our beautiful veterinary nurses! 💕

Girls, we see you, appreciate you and couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you. We simply couldn’t do what we do without you! 🥹💕

🐾 MEET TORI 🐾

We’re very lucky to have the gorgeous Tori Sullivan spending part of her school holidays with us at Airlie Beach Veterinary Surgery, completing some work experience and getting a taste of life in a busy veterinary clinic. 🐶🐱

Tori is currently in Grade 10 at boarding school in Townsville, but her connection with Dr Tess goes back a lot further than that.

When Tori was just a little girl, Dr Tess was the vet looking after animals on her family’s cattle property near Mount Coolon. Over the years, Dr Tess has had the absolute pleasure of watching Tori grow up and seeing her interest in veterinary science blossom along the way. ❤️

And gosh, what a worker she is! Tori is studying incredibly hard at school, and in her “spare time” she is also undertaking a Certificate II in Animal Studies to further develop her knowledge and experience as she works towards a possible future career with animals.

She has thrown herself into everything during her time with us, helping wherever she can, asking great questions and showing exactly the sort of attitude we love to see in young people considering our profession.

For Dr Tess, there’s something pretty special about remembering Tori as a little girl running around the cattle yards, and now having her standing beside us in the veterinary clinic, keen to learn and work hard. 🥰

The future of the veterinary profession is looking very bright indeed with young stars like Tori coming through. 🌟🐾

We’ve absolutely loved having you with us, Tori, and we can’t wait to see where your future takes you! And thanks to her cute little model Bob for being so photogenic 😍

Serving you & those you love. 💙

💚 Starting conversations that matter 💚

You might notice Dr Nat looking particularly colourful in clinic today! 🌈🐾

He’s wearing his TradeMutt scrubs, designed to do much more than brighten up the workplace. TradeMutt’s loud and colourful clothing is created to start conversations about mental health, helping make something that can often be invisible a little easier to talk about.

September has already brought us R U OK?Day, but one of the most important messages behind it is that checking in with the people around us shouldn’t happen just once a year.

A simple “How are you really going?” can open a conversation that matters.

We love the idea behind TradeMutt: use something bright, fun and impossible to miss to help make conversations around mental health feel normal.

So if you see Dr Nat today, feel free to compliment the scrubs… and perhaps check in with someone you care about while you’re at it. 💚

Because looking after each other matters. ❤️
