After a few last minute changes to the plans Maple, Ellie, Eli and myself went off to meet Mackenzie, Finn and Latte at Floraide.

It was a nice sibling’s day out with the littles in the stroller (thank goodness I was able to find it in storage after so many years🤣) but all were happy having a look around and some good sniffing times.

Apart from a few questionable people and their retractable leads most of the dogs looked like they were having a great time out and about socialising. It’s the first time in quite a few years we were able to make it to the dogs day at floriade and happy we were able to make it there again

Has come back with a bang after the puppies in Advanced exteriors gaining a 🥈second place. She does make me think giving some cheeky false alerts, good thing I’ve been tricked enough times to know her look when it’s not a true alert 🤣

Home and rested after the final day of Melbourne Royal general specials day. Unfortunately no luck in group but that’s to be expected with the calibre of competition but we still go to represent the breed and speak to the public.

On our way home to break up the drive we stopped in at Culcairn picked up some points an a refresh before we hit the road again, arriving back in Canberra around 3pm so still plenty of time to mow the grass and big puppy play time.

Today we headed to the Dogs ACT shows mainly to take the pups out for some socialising before they hit the ring in a few weeks. Maple gained an intermediate in group which was nice. The littles all had time meeting new people and at the end of the day a little play on the grass.

We finished off the day with a quick swing past BDOC for a tad more socialising before heading home to try puppy proof more of the garden and finally wore the littles out 😮‍💨

Today’s adventure was just Maple and myself where we headed to West Wyalong it was an early start and a busy day and a late drive home

The morning show was lovely but unfortunately nothing in group, then during the lunch break we helped with the aspiring judges training last was the afternoon show.

The afternoon show was wonderful with Maple

Maple just turned 18mths and already past the halfway mark to her grand championship and looking at her results so far she has

4 BIG 2nd
4 class in show and
28 class in group awards

not bad for a rare breed, first home bred litter and a handler only on the scene for 7 years

Last night we competed in the Act Companion Dog Club agility ribbon trial. Unfortunately in masters both Kira and Mia forgot how to weave but did great runs apart from that and only Kira entered in open she had a nice smooth run placing 3rd
