Meet beautiful Crumpet!

Crumpet visited our wonderful team at The Village Vet for ongoing eye discharge and sneezing. These can sometimes be signs of allergies in our pets and with spring bringing pollen, dust and other allergens into the environment, it’s important to keep an eye out for changes in your furry friend!

August is national pet dental health month and It’s the perfect time to give your pet’s teeth a little extra attention!

Beautiful Miette and her lovely octopus friend recently visited our amazing team at The Village Vet for a scale and polish, dental X-rays, and some teeth extractions.

We recommend booking a dental check every 6–12 months for most pets, along with regular at-home brushing ( just like we do for our own teeth! )

Welcome to the team, Grace! 🐾

After completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2021, Grace took some time away from the veterinary industry before realising her passion for caring for animals never left.

Grace is now part of our reception team while gradually returning to veterinary nursing. She loves making sure every client and their beloved pets feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

The Village Vet will be closed for the Public Holiday long weekend on Monday, 8 June 2026, and will reopen with normal hours (8:00am–6:00pm) on Tuesday, 9 June 2026.

If you’re planning a holiday or weekend away with your furry friend, we recommend booking in for vaccinations, tick and worming treatments, and health checks before you travel.

For pets on ongoing medication, please give our team up to 48 hours’ notice for prescription refills and medication collection.

Sweet boy Toby recently visited Dr. Olivia for a health check after his owners noticed some discomfort, head shaking, and scratching. After a thorough examination, Toby was prescribed ear medication for an infection and is already feeling much more comfortable!

Our pets can’t always tell us when something is wrong, so changes like scratching, head shaking, or unusual behaviour can be important signs that they may need a check-up. If your furry friend is showing any unusual symptoms or changes in behaviour, it’s always a good idea to book a check-up early.
