Looking for a fun day out in the Braidwood bush with your dog?

Why not try Mantrailing!
What is Mantrailing?
Mantrailing is a non-competitive dog sport designed for dogs and directed by dogs. We teach your dog how to follow trails to find a hidden person using their natural ability to detect scent?

What's the big deal with Mantrailing?
Dogs absolutely love it! Dogs find following scent trails highly rewarding and working with our dogs doing what they love creates a special bond.

Can any dog learn Mantrailing?
Absolutely! This is suitable for all dogs big and small, trained or not trained, fearful or reactive.

What will I need to participate?
One handler per dog (family welcome). Y-front harness, a car, outdoor clothing and the most delicious snacks your dog has ever tasted.

Please note each dog is worked separately. This means between trails your dog needs to be happy to sit in your car parked nearby. It also means this is perfect for fearful or reactive dogs that have previously been excluded from participating in other dog sports.

Next course 13 February. Book now as places are limited.

Lola and Lottie keep an eye on the household and the neighbours comings and goings. They have appointed themselves as Very Early Visitor Detection Units and, they are so good at it!

Only problem being the barking has become too much for the family. Today we taught these adorable rascals about how to use their inside voice while addressing some stinky sock resource guarding.

These faces just melt your heart! 💓

Got to meet Australia’s biggest horse on my rounds and catch up with Australia’s biggest clown.

Travelling to rural parts of Australia to train dogs means I often do a lot of driving. I love visiting parts of NSW that I have never seen before. Each adventure brings new people, awesome dogs and the occasional giant horse.

It’s not uncommon for me to pack a picnic lunch or travel 300 kms a week - and you know what, I wouldn’t change a thing!

I met this lovely boy today. He was left at the pound and later picked up by a local rescue. He has landed in the best home with very committed mums.

He has some anxiety around noises and being left alone. He is mostly concerned about other dogs, outside the home but even on TV. No one can watch muster dogs without upsetting him. 😣

Our goal is to give Zephyr a break from his triggers while we slowly build his confidence up around other dogs. We love you Zephyr and you’ve got this!

Bobby was used as a security dog until he became too much to handle. He is 3 years old and has received no training, no socialisation and hasn’t had a positive experience on lead.

His new family are very committed to him. Today we worked on building trust and connection by supporting him in his new environment.

The really fun part about this job is getting to meet cool dogs and their lovely humans. The other part I really enjoy is driving to regional areas of Australia that I would never otherwise see.

Today I was on a farm in the Yass Valley and it was so pretty. I got to meet this dude and we worked to turn his love of jumping up on people into a love of jumping up into the car.

Jimmy is a Bernadoodle. Sadly Jimmy was too rough with his previous young family and his jumping was causing injury and became unsafe. He is going to have SO much fun on this lovely farm.

Reactive dogs need time to unwind and that’s what we give them at Canine Calm Club.

Space to relax and regulate so when they do see another dog they feel calm and confident.

Max, Anouk, McCoy and Winnie did so well today at their first session. Big shout out to all the handlers who slowed down with their dogs and did some really great lead management.
