Funny how sometimes a one star review can actually make you grateful.
Instead of being angry about one we received yesterday, it made us realise how lucky we are.
We’ve spent years building a client base full of people who understand how we operate.
You know dogs aren’t appointments on a conveyor belt to us. Sometimes they need extra time, breaks or reassurance. If it’s your dog having that kind of day, they’ll get the same patience and care as one of our own.
You trust us to make those calls and care for your family like they are ours. We can’t thank you enough.
This review also made us realise something else. It is almost always the new customers we’re trying to squeeze in and bend over backwards for who somehow create the most work.
Last minute bookings for the wrong service. Repeated cancellations and reschedules. Appointments moved again and again before eventually becoming a no show. I’m looking at you, Joanne.
Meanwhile, that booking has cost us income, wages and another dog the chance to be groomed. Then somehow we’re the inconvenience when the no show policy they agreed to is mentioned. and ultimately waived.
We’re done with that.
Our existing clients communicate. You show up. If something goes wrong, you talk to us. You respect our time and we respect yours.
So, for the foreseeable future, One Fur All is officially closing our books to new clients. We’ll still welcome puppies belonging to existing clients, One Fur All bred puppies and selected referrals. From here, I’ll only take on new dogs that interest me and that I want to groom.
Apparently I’ve reached the stage where I can choose dogs based on whether they look fun or interesting and whether their humans seem like total tools or not. I’m comfortable with that. 😂
If we can’t accommodate you, we recommend Urban Tails Grooming in Campbelltown. Existing clients: Christmas appointments are filling, so book now. Regulars can also set up a recurring 4, 6 or 8 week schedule to keep preferred appointments locked in.
Turns out we already have the customers we want.
