Crestfields Stud

Crestfields is a small stud located in the Calliope area in Central Queensland. We breed both Australian Warmblood Horses and German Riding Ponies.

Our focus is breeding quality horses for the dressage, show and eventing arenas.

Some Crestfields youngsters out doing us proud lately. First the jumpers - Crestfields Cleopatra (Contenda/Pride of Kellina) and Crestfields Katalina (Wild Kard/Catargo) competed at the Qld jumping championships last weekend. Cleopatra jumped super all weekend and won the 1m class while Katalina continues to improve and show her ability, after just her second outing.
Also stepping up was dressage bred Crestfields Federation, by Bloomfields stallion For Passion. Federation has just been started under saddle and is really looking the goods! So grateful we can find such great homes for the horses we breed to see them have every chance to succeed.

The foaling season has been and gone rather quickly this year. With only 1 foal due - Duplexx (Diarado/Heraldik) who is a very popular stallion in Germany currently, from our Catargo/Pride of Kellina mare. Very excited to welcome a filly with such fantastic bloodlines.

Chestnut WB c**t, DOB 21/10/2024.

Dennis is an upstanding c**t with a tonne of presence. By Delorean, who is often described as a movement maker, this guy certainly looks to have inherited the paces and power required to be a successful dressage horse. He has correct legs, is a modern type and is naturally built uphill. ACE registered, weaned and ready to find a new home. Located Calliope, Qld. Video available, pm for more info.

Over the years at Crestfields Stud we have sold many lovely youngsters to wonderful homes. But yesterday, Crestfields Nevada headed off to his new home and I think it has been our most memorable sale yet. There is something special about a little girl and her dream pony and we feel so lucky in being a part of making this happen. Receiving photos like this, just a day after he arrived at his new home say everything about this 😍🥹 Nevada is an 18 month old GRP gelding by Numerus Clausus from a Don Philino mare. Again, these photos show exactly the temperament and type of GRP we aim to breed and all the hours spent to achieve it are totally worthwhile when you get updates like this ☺️ Nevada went to an amazing home that also purchased a weanling WB gelding from our stud last season. Repeat buyers are the best form of advertisement for our small stud. Feeling proud!

This filly is very elegant and barely touches the ground when she moves. Her hind leg is exceptional and she is always uphill. Friendly, inquisitive nature. Foal number 3 has arrived. A big chestnut c**t named Dennis (who was meant to be a nice black filly).... Oh well, a happy healthy foal is all we really want 😁 Delorean x Northern Alexander/Salute. With those bloodlines, I can't wait to see him move in a couple of weeks when he gets his legs under control.
