🚨 PARALYSIS TICK ALERT – FNQ 🚨

We’ve seen 4 cases of tick paralysis in just 48 hours, and we’re currently seeing an influx of cases across the Cairns region. 🕷️

Tick paralysis can become life-threatening very quickly, so year-round tick prevention is essential for pets in our region. Even pets that mostly stay at home can be at risk!

Please check that your pet’s tick prevention is up to date and being given as directed. We stock a range of options for both dogs and cats, including Simparica TRIO, Bravecto, Revolution Plus and Felpreva. 🐶🐱

Peaches the Cocker Spaniel uses Bravecto 3 monthly chew to keep protected, while Pickles the Cat uses Felpreva topical treatment every 3 months to continue staying safe. It’s low commitment, but life saving prevention. ✅

Your day-to-day role will include:

🐾 Caring for and handling patients
🔧 Scrubbing, packing and sterilising surgical equipment
🏥 Supporting the team with daily clinic and hospital duties
🧹 General cleaning and helping maintain a safe and high-standard environment
📚 Learning the day-to-day operations of a busy veterinary hospital

For the right candidate, this 6-month position has the potential to progress into another role within our team, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the veterinary industry.
