Yaps The Young Animal Protection Society (YAPS) is an incorporated non-profit organisation that exists to shelter and protect homeless, unwanted dogs and cats.
(393)

YAPS has a "no kill" policy that allows each animal the time to find the right family. The purpose of Yaps page is, with the help of the community, "spread the word" about the dogs and cats available for adoption. The animals that come through the shelter somehow know they are getting a second chance and will love you for life! So why buy a puppy or kitten from a pet store when you can find your ultimate companion here?

Coco is a 2 year old Cane Corso Mastiff X who is smart, gorgeous and full of fun.
This girl arrived at Yaps with 7 little puppies in tow, and what a great Mumma she was. All pups have found their forever home and now it is this girls time to let loose and share her joy and enthusiasm with a family to call her own.
Coco has lived with teenagers and other dogs her size but small dogs and cats are not in her agenda at her new home!

Affectionate.. Gentle Nature and Handsome what more could you ask for?
The one thing Olly Does Not want is to spend his 10th birthday at Yaps, he wants his own home and family to celebrate this milestone with.
Please put a smile back on this gentleman's beautiful face by giving him the life he deserves.
Olly has just had a scale and polish on his teeth and will be able to dazzle you with his smile.

7 year old Nala needs you...
Given Nala's shy nature this terrific tabby is looking forward to finding a relaxed indoor only forever home where she can flourish and be treated to all the TLC she deserves.
Nala first came into care in June 2023 as a very shy shutdown girl. She spent over a year in care when she was adopted by a kind gentleman in Nov 2025. She spent 6 months loving life with this gentleman. He told us that when he came home from an outing she would run to him and wrap her paws around his necking, welcoming him back home. Sady he became unwell and in May 25 Nala was once again returned to Yaps where she has been living out in foster care since.
This girl need a home and human to call her own. In foster care she has been living with other cats but would really prefer to be the only animal where she can feel relaxed and lap up all the love and attention.
Nala is in foster care so if you would like to meet her please click on this link and fill in the pre adoption application and we will set up a time for you to meet her.
