Every day Dingoes are living under threat❗️
Don't sit back and just hope others will do something..
You can do plenty....We need to get the Dingo listed as a threatened species in all other states and taken off the vermin list before it's too late...

People are needed to support the Dingo not just facebook likes❗️
Far from being vermin, Dingoes sustain biodiversity and help land managers control invasive species. They are key elements in the struggle to reduce damage caused by foxes and feral cats.
Dingoes control kangaroo populations without the need for culling and supress foxes and feral cats. That's why ecosystems with Dingoes have better vegetation and more diverse and abundant populations of small native mammals.
Any person can write to their parliament members.

It's time that all Australians show concern for our environment....
As far as the farming industry is concerned they need to listen.

1st point is the decline of the sheep industry is not driven by Dingoes.

2nd point is Dingo control (poisoning, trapping and shooting) is associated with increased densities of wild herbivores which leads to reduced cattle condition and fertility through competition for pasture.

It's not rocket science....The restoration of Dingoes provides net benefits for rangeland vegetation and profit margins of cattle pastoralists.
There's less than 1% cattle stock loss from Dingoes when pack structure is maintained!

It definitely is about time that graziers woke up to the REALITY we have all known for so long - livestock losses due to predation is minimal and can be reduced far more effectively by using readily available non lethal methods, improving husbandry practices and that Dingoes are not the enemy of the graziers, in fact Dingoes can be one of their best allies by regulating other herbivore populations and impacting on mesopredator numbers and behaviour. Australia has “Ridden on the sheep’s back” for many, many decades now❗️

If you can't love them at least respect them, they have the same right to life and protection as you❗️

Dingoes need our protection and understanding more than any of our other native animals. They are constantly maligned and unfairly blamed for the misdeeds of others. We NEED the Dingo❗️
His presence actually helps the farmer by controlling feral animals such as cats, foxes and wild pigs.
The Dingo is our best friend if we will allow him to be❗️🐾🐾

Unfortunately Australia has a complicated relationship with Dingoes, one that many of us are striving to change❗️
Whether you like it or not, Dingoes are Icons❗️
Everyone on my pages should know enough by now to secure the future of the Dingo❗️

Yet Dingoes are under constant pressure due to baiting, trapping, shooting and habitat degredation.
The active hunting of Dingoes first started when European colonists arrived with their livestock. At one point the Crown fined colonists who did not hunt Dingoes off their land. This tradition of enthusiastically hunting Dingoes continued into the 21st century and created a negative stigma surrounding Dingoes. Furthermore, there were bounties placed on Dingo pelts as an incentive for hunters/doggers to increase culling.still being used today!

Baiting is inhumane, a strategy used to kill populations, however this is ineffective and can kill other non-target animals if not carried out correctly. Multiple studies have shown it does not affect Dingo diet or population distribution, it has even led to its population increasing, with unruly juveniles who then run amok❗️

Dingoes need large areas of continuous habitat to hunt, breed, and establish territories.
Habitat loss, degradation, and fragmentation is not only decreasing the amount of habitat for Dingoes but also shrinking the buffer zone between habitat and human occupied zones. With less wild habitat to occupy, Dingoes are forced into more and more urbanised areas.
This downward spiral can be resolved with proper land management and informing the public of the importance of Dingoes to natural ecosystems.

Allowing Dingo populations to recover would be beneficial to a range of imperiled wildlife species...
Millions of dollars are being spent and wasted to fence out, trap, shoot and poison Dingoes, both within and outside of protected areas.

Predator control does not offer a permanent solution or anything resembling natural regulation of the ecosystem.
The current policy of the Australian wildlife conservancy, along with federal and state agencies is predator control. The management plans laid out by the government reeks of ill intent❗️
By giving Dingoes protection it enables their pack structure to remain intact, they limit their own reproduction for the sake of sustainability and protect a wider biodiversity by providing a natural "balance of nature".

We need stable pack structures of Dingoes in order for them to act as efficient predators that they are.
Culling to maintain populations is just not necessary as Dingoes self regulate and take care of populations themselves...

I don't understand how many people can sit back and say nothing, watching this catastrophe unfold⁉️ 🐾🐾

In 1995 the USA and Canada worked together to reintroduce wolves to Yellowstone for their ecosystem benefits.
The success of this bold step is now the stuff of legend.
Isn't it time we had our Yellowstone moment and began restoring Australia's ecosystems to some of their former glory with Dingoes⁉️ 🐾🐾
