🦷✨ BEFORE & AFTER: A Dental Glow-Up! ✨🦷

Did you know dental health is just as important for our pets as it is for us? 🐶❤️

Before treatment, you can see the build-up of plaque and tartar along the teeth and gumline. After a thorough scale and polish, the teeth are left looking much cleaner, helping to support healthier teeth and gums. 🪥✨

🩺 Why are regular dental checks important?
Dental disease can cause pain, inflamed gums, bad breath and, if left untreated, damage to the teeth and surrounding tissues. Our pets are experts at hiding discomfort, so regular dental checks are essential!

🐾 Our top tip: Don't wait for bad breath to become a problem! Regular dental assessments help us identify issues early and keep those tails wagging.

📞 If your pet is due for a dental check, contact our friendly team to book an appointment. Let's keep those smiles healthy! 🐕💙

🐾 Meet Otis! 🐾

Otis came to see us after injuring one of his nails, which unfortunately meant the damaged nail needed to be gently removed. 🐾

A minor nail pull involves some local anaesthetic then carefully removing the damaged portion of the nail, allowing the healthy nail bed underneath to heal. The area is then cleaned and managed appropriately to help prevent infection and keep our patient comfortable.

Otis was an absolute superstar! ⭐ He was so brave that he barely even noticed what was happening and was ready to head straight home afterwards! 💙

What a brave little guy! 🥰🐶

🐾 Puppy cuddles + parasite prevention! 🐾❤️

This little cutie came in for their regular parasite prevention, an important part of keeping our pets happy and healthy!

🌿 As the weather warms up, paralysis tick activity increases, and we’re seeing more cases. Paralysis ticks can cause serious, potentially life-threatening illness in dogs and cats, so keeping your pet’s prevention up to date is essential.

💚 Speak with our team about the right parasite protection for your pet and help keep those pesky parasites away! 🐶✨

🐾 Meet Tommy! ✂️🛁
Someone may have missed his last hairdresser appointment! 😂

Meet Tommy, who came to visit our nursing team in desperate need of a little TLC. After what looked like a very overdue grooming appointment, Tommy was treated to a full groom, bath and plenty of one-on-one care from our nurses. 🥰

For his bath, we used NutriDerm Shampoo & Conditioner, which helps gently cleanse while supporting the skin’s natural moisture barrier perfect for giving his coat and skin some extra care, followed by Fido’s Free-Itch Rinse to help soothe and calm irritated or itchy skin. 🧴✨

After a good clip, scrub, rinse and lots of cuddles, Tommy was feeling much more comfortable and looking considerably more handsome! ❤️

Sometimes our nursing team does a little bit of everything...nursing, grooming, cuddling and making sure our patients feel their absolute best. 🐶💙

This beautiful girl came in for his regular bandage change after getting into a little disagreement with another doggo. 💙

She's been such an absolute trooper throughout her recovery and was very happy to show us just how brave she is! 🥰🐶

A special shoutout to our amazing Head Nurse Jess for another fantastic bandage...neat, secure and looking paw-some! 👏🏼💙

Keep being brave, gorgeous girl! ❤️

🐾🏆 INTRODUCING HAGRID – ONE OF OUR BRAVEST PATIENTS! 🏆🐾

Everyone, meet Hagrid! ❤️ This gorgeous boy has been through quite the journey, undergoing TWO TPLO surgeries in the last 12 months and showing us just how brave he really is! 🥹💙

🦴 What is a TPLO?
A Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) is a specialised orthopaedic surgery used to treat a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in dogs. The procedure stabilises the knee joint, helping dogs return to a more comfortable and active life.

💔 Did you know?
Unfortunately, dogs who rupture one cranial cruciate ligament have an increased risk of rupturing the other. Studies suggest that approximately 30–50% of dogs may go on to develop a cruciate injury in their opposite knee, although the risk varies between individual dogs.

Hagrid has certainly put that statistic to the test, undergoing surgery on both knees. 🥺💪

Today, we presented this beautiful boy with his Certificate of Bravery, because we think he deserves all the cuddles, treats and praise in the world! 🏅🐶

Well done, Hagrid! You are an absolute superstar! 💙🐾

Another day, another puppy, another cuddle session! 🐶💉🥰

This gorgeous Golden Retriever pup popped in for their vaccination and a thorough general health check… but naturally, we had to squeeze in plenty of cuddles along the way! 🐾💛

Vaccinations ✔️
Health check ✔️
Cuddles ✔️✔️✔️

We’re pretty sure the cuddles are the most important part of the appointment anyway! 😂🐕
