Happy Monday, everyone! 🥰 We hope you all had an amazing weekend with your pups! We were so excited to be back today, seeing all those gorgeous smiling faces again and making sure every single pup had the very best start to their week! 🐶💕

🌟 THREE NEW FACES TO WELCOME! 🌟

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming three beautiful new pups to the Suzi Pooch family today!

🐶 Lottie – Poodle x Staffy

What a little superstar! Lottie had the most incredible first day, running around, making friends and having an absolute ball! 🥹💕

By pure coincidence, we also had Max, another Poodle x Staffy, in daycare today! We couldn’t believe just how alike these two were, not only in their appearance but in their personalities and mannerisms too! With mixed breeds, you can often see such a wonderful variety of looks and traits, even between dogs with the same breed combination, so seeing just how similar these two were absolutely fascinated us! 😍

Lottie certainly made the most of her morning, so much so that by the time her half-day visit was over, she was fast asleep in our reception area waiting to be collected! Now THAT is what we call a successful first day! 😂💤

🐾 Honey & Milo – Border Collies

A huge welcome to these two gorgeous Border Collies! 💚

Honey and Milo settled in so beautifully that you honestly would have thought they’d been coming to Suzi Pooch their entire lives! They wasted absolutely no time getting involved, mingling with the other pups, making new friendships and exploring everything daycare has to offer!

We absolutely loved having all three of our newcomers today and hope to see their beautiful faces back again very soon! 🥰

☀️💦 KEEPING COOL WHILE THE FUN CONTINUES!

There’s no denying it, the weather is definitely starting to heat up! 🔥 Thankfully, with our recently installed air conditioning units and fans, our pups have plenty of opportunities to escape the heat and enjoy some lovely cool indoor playtime! ❄️🐶

We certainly noticed that quite a few pups preferred the comfort of our air-conditioned rooms today, and who could blame them?!

But with access to our outdoor Sniffari yard, plenty of pups still couldn’t resist heading outside for a run, an explore and a good old-fashioned play session! 🌳🐾

Having a dedicated outdoor area is something we absolutely love about Suzi Pooch! Our pups get to enjoy the best of both worlds, from cool indoor spaces to an outdoor paradise full of interesting smells, exciting adventures and opportunities to explore. It’s pretty much a dog’s dream come true! 💚

And of course, with the warmer weather, we couldn’t resist bringing out the hose! 💦

Water play is such a fantastic form of enrichment, providing sensory stimulation, encouraging movement and allowing pups to engage in playful, natural behaviours like chasing, splashing and investigating moving water! It’s also a wonderful way for our water-loving pups to have some extra fun while cooling down. Safe to say, we had some VERY enthusiastic participants today! 😂💦

💕 A SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO LENNI! 💕

We just have to give a special mention to our gorgeous little Lenni, the Miniature Fox Terrier! 🥹🐾

Lenni had an absolute blast today, particularly when it came to playing with some of her much bigger friends! We absolutely adore watching friendships blossom between pups of all different shapes and sizes.

One of her favourite playmates today was our beautiful Smooch, the Bernedoodle! 🐶💗

Smooch is such a wonderful example of how gentle and friendly bigger dogs can be with their smaller companions. We often notice little pups naturally gravitating towards her, and she always seems to attract the sweetest friendships!

Watching tiny Lenni happily playing alongside her much larger friend was honestly one of the cutest sights of the day! It’s these beautiful little interactions that make us love what we do so much! 🥰

👑 POOCH OF THE DAY – PEACH! 🍑💕

Today we’re celebrating our absolutely beautiful Peach, who really is just as lovely on the inside as she is on the outside!

This gorgeous girl has an elegance about her, paired with the most friendly, fun-loving and social personality! Peach absolutely LOVES her days at Suzi Pooch, and the feeling is certainly mutual! 💚

From the moment she arrives, she’s ready to mingle, make friends and get straight into the action. She’s always finding someone to play with and seems to have an endless supply of energy and enthusiasm!

There’s certainly no slowing this queen down! 👑🐾

We absolutely adore her beautiful nature, her confidence and the happiness she brings to daycare. Peach is one very special girl, and we’re so lucky to have her as part of our Suzi Pooch family! 🥹💕

A very warm welcome to handsome Bodhi the Italian Greyhound, who also joined us for his very first daycare adventure today! 🥰

We’ve been welcoming quite a few Italian Greyhounds lately, and we’re starting to suspect they’ve all been telling their fellow Iggy friends just how much fun there is to be had at Suzi Pooch! 🤭🐕

Bodhi certainly didn’t waste any time settling in! He was such a confident little gentleman, happily exploring his new surroundings and enjoying everything daycare had to offer.

💦☀️ TODAY’S ENRICHMENT: HOSE PLAY! ☀️💦

With the warmer weather making itself known, we decided it was the perfect day to bring out one of our favourite enrichment activities, some good old-fashioned hose play! 💦🐶

While it might look like a simple game of water and chasing, there’s actually so much more happening!

Interactive water play is a fantastic way to encourage movement, provide sensory stimulation and give our water-loving pups an opportunity to cool down while having fun. 🐾

One of our favourite things about this activity is the opportunity it gives our attendants to actively engage and bond with the dogs. Rather than simply providing toys and watching from the sidelines, we get to become part of the fun!

We love building those positive relationships through shared experiences, playful interactions and plenty of encouragement. It’s these little moments that help strengthen the trust and connection between our team and your pups. 🥰

And of course, participation is always optional! Some pups love chasing the water, while others prefer to supervise from a nice dry spot! 😂💦

What a beautiful Thursday we’ve had here at Suzi Pooch! ☀️🐶

We’re honestly SO proud of our Safari Yard! One of the things that makes this space so special is its beautiful natural environment, filled with real trees, shrubs and plenty of exciting little areas for our pups to explore! 🌳🐾

Having access to natural surroundings is such a wonderful part of a pooch’s day! It encourages sniffing, curiosity, exploration and mental stimulation, while giving our pups the opportunity to enjoy fresh air, different textures and all those exciting outdoor smells!

At Suzi Pooch, we’re passionate about providing more than just somewhere for your pooch to spend the day. We want every pup to have a safe, enriching and exciting experience where they can socialise, build confidence, explore and, most importantly, just be a happy pooch! 🥹🩵

He absolutely LOVES socialising with pups of all shapes and sizes, exploring our Safari Yard and soaking up every cuddle he can possibly get from his favourite humans! 🥰

What we adore most about Sol is his infectious happiness and gentle nature. He reminds us that a little kindness, confidence and positive energy can make such a beautiful difference to everyone around us.

🐾☀️ Happy Wednesday from Suzi Pooch! ☀️🐾

We had a very special new face join us for a trial today! Please give a big Suzi Pooch welcome to Domino, the Catahoula Leopard Dog! 🐶🩵

A little fun fact about Catahoulas: they’re an incredibly intelligent and versatile breed, originally developed in Louisiana in the USA. They’re known for their striking coats, working ability and clever problem-solving brains. 🧠🐾

Domino absolutely blew us away with how quickly he settled into daycare. This gorgeous boy is deaf and understands sign language, so our team made sure to communicate with him in a way that works for him. He came in with so much confidence, explored his new surroundings, met the other pups and looked incredibly comfortable for his very first visit. We’re so proud of him and loved getting to know him today! 🥹🩵

🐾 Another special new face today, Snoopy! 🩵

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Snoopy, a Beagle x Labrador, and the newest addition to Bear the Golden Retriever’s family. That’s right, Bear officially has a little brother! 🥹🐶

Snoopy had such a wonderful day exploring the daycare, taking everything in and getting to know his new surroundings. He has the most beautifully soft and gentle personality and was an absolute pleasure to have with us. He’s such a lovely, easygoing boy, and we can already tell he’s going to fit in beautifully. 🩵

We can’t wait to watch Snoopy settle in even more, see his personality continue to come out and, of course, watch the brotherly adventures between Snoopy and Bear unfold! 🐾🥰

☀️ The weather is warming up at Suzi Pooch, so how do we keep your pups cool?

Keeping everyone comfortable during the warmer months is a huge priority for us. Our pups have access to our air-conditioned indoor spaces as well as our outdoor Safari yard, meaning they can enjoy the best of both worlds. We’ve recently had new air-conditioning units installed, and outside we have a shade sail, plenty of trees providing natural shade and multiple water stations that are constantly checked and topped up. 💧🌳

And when things really heat up, out come the dog-friendly ice blocks, pools, sprinklers and other cooling activities! 🧊💦

🌿 Today’s enrichment was all about making the familiar feel new again!

Something as simple as changing how the pups move through daycare can completely change how they experience their environment. Today we experimented with opening and closing different gates and sections throughout the facility. When an area has been unavailable for a little while and suddenly opens back up, it becomes interesting all over again, encouraging plenty of sniffing, exploring and investigating. 👃🐾

This worked particularly well with our Safari yard. We’re incredibly lucky to have a genuine outdoor space as part of our daycare, giving the pups the opportunity to get outside amongst the trees, explore different natural surfaces, sniff to their hearts’ content and enjoy a completely different environment from indoor play. 🌳☀️ By changing when and how they access different areas, even our regular pups get the opportunity to rediscover them!

🩵 A special shout-out to Monte Carlo! 🩵

Our beautiful Beaglier, Monte Carlo, has absolutely skyrocketed in confidence over the past couple of weeks! And with a name like Monte Carlo, it was only a matter of time before he started strutting around daycare like he owns the place. 😂👑

His pet parents have been so committed to bringing him in regularly, and the difference we’ve seen in such a short time has been incredible. We’re seeing more and more of his gorgeous personality come through with every visit.

He’s spending more time hanging around the team, socialising with the other pups and flashing us that beautiful happy smile. 🥹 We absolutely love watching his confidence grow and seeing him become more comfortable being his wonderful little self! 🩵🐾

👯 Friendship of the Day: Boyd & Cooper Jr! 🐾

Boyd the Border Collie and Cooper Jr the Golden Retriever puppy have formed the sweetest little friendship. 🥰 These two have SO much fun together!

One of their favourite games is wonderfully simple: one grabs a toy and the other has to chase them around trying to get it. 😂 When they’re not zooming around together, you’ll often find them sharing a bed, cuddling up or simply hanging out side by side. They bring so much joy to our day and we absolutely love watching their friendship grow. 🩵

December and the lead-up to Christmas are always incredibly busy for grooming, so if you know your pup will need their Christmas freshen-up, please book ahead rather than leaving it until December. We absolutely adore watching how happy and settled Dexter is at daycare. 🩵 He’s been part of the Suzi Pooch family for quite some time now, and one of our favourite things about him is watching him wander around and choose which friends he feels like spending his day with.

Dexter is also a very responsible boy who knows exactly when he’s ready for a break. 😂 Whether it’s finding himself a comfy day bed or settling in for one of his famous siestas, he has the daycare routine down to an art!

He’s such an inquisitive and curious boy with a beautiful personality, and he has formed some very special relationships with his human besties, Liv and Amber. He even gets to enjoy the occasional sleepover with them, which makes his bond with the team that little bit more special. 🥹

We love you so much, Dexter, and we’re very lucky to have you as part of our Suzi Pooch family! 🐶🩵

🐾 Happy Tuesday, Pooch Parents! 🐾

We hope everyone had a lovely long weekend! 🩵 We know we certainly did, but we absolutely couldn’t wait to get back into daycare, and apparently neither could your pups because we had a VERY busy Tuesday! 😂🐶

We want to start by giving a very warm Suzi Pooch welcome to Wilma, the German Shorthaired Pointer! 🤎 Wilma joined us for her very first day today alongside her friend Vader, who has been part of our daycare crew for quite a while now. 🐾

Wilma was super confident from the get-go and walked in as though she had been coming here just as long as Vader has! 🥰 It was so lovely watching the pair together. They enjoyed some playtime with each other, but Wilma was also more than happy to branch out, mingle and socialise with lots of our other pups.

And of course, with Vader’s gorgeous dark colouring and black head, we still think his Star Wars inspired name suits him VERY well. 🌌😂 Thankfully, there was no temptation for Wilma to join him on the dark side today!

We loved watching how comfortably Wilma settled into the daycare environment and we hope to see lots more of this beautiful girl soon. 🩵🐾

💰 A small pricing update

You may have noticed that, as of Monday 5 October, there has been a small $2 increase across all of our services. We always aim to keep our pricing as reasonable as possible while continuing to provide the level of care, staffing, enrichment and service that your pups deserve. We truly appreciate the ongoing support of all our wonderful Pooch families. 🩵

🛝 Today’s enrichment: confidence-building slides!

Today we introduced something a little different and encouraged the pups to have a go at our slides! While it might look like a bit of silly daycare fun, there’s actually plenty going on behind the scenes. 👀🧠

Novel equipment gives our pups an opportunity to investigate unfamiliar surfaces, work out how to move their bodies through a new activity and build confidence through choice and positive reinforcement. We encouraged each pup at their own pace, rewarding curiosity and engagement rather than simply focusing on getting to the bottom of the slide.

For a few pups who needed a little extra reassurance, Liv even got involved and went down the slide with them! 😂🛝 Sometimes having a familiar person join in is all the encouragement they need to feel confident enough to give something new a go. We kept it fun, positive and completely at each pup’s own pace. 🩵🐾

Activities like this can help develop confidence, body awareness and problem-solving skills, while exposing pups to something new in a safe and positive environment. We’re always changing up our enrichment to keep things novel, interesting and engaging for the pups. We never want daycare to feel like the same day over and over again! 🧠✨

🌧️ A little rain never stops daycare!

Today was definitely a wetter one, but wet weather doesn’t mean the fun stops! We adapt our day around the conditions, rotating between indoor activities, enrichment, rest periods and outdoor opportunities whenever the weather allows.

It’s also beneficial for pups to experience different weather conditions in a safe and familiar environment. Some dogs can be particularly sensitive to changes in weather, especially heavy rain, wind, thunder and lightning.

If your pup finds storms a little scary at home, it’s never too late to work on counter-conditioning. 🩵 You can start by playing thunder or storm sounds at a VERY low volume, low enough that your pup remains completely comfortable, and pair the sound with something they absolutely love, such as high-value treats, play or a favourite activity.

Over multiple short sessions, the volume can very gradually increase, provided your pup is still relaxed and comfortable. The idea is never to overwhelm them or force them to “get used to it”. Instead, we want to gradually change that emotional association so those sounds begin to predict something positive. 🐶🌧️🩵

🛁 A little daycare pampering

We also had a few pups enjoying express washes and nail trims today! Remember, these little extras can often be added to your pup’s daycare day. Just let one of our friendly team members know and we can see what we can fit in.

There’s nothing better than picking up a happy, tired AND freshly pampered pup! ✨🐶

🎄 And yes… we’re already talking about Christmas grooms!

We know, we know, nobody wants to wish the year away! 😂 But after seeing how quickly our December grooming appointments filled last year, we want to make sure our loyal Pooch parents don’t miss out.

We’re already receiving December bookings, so if you know you’d love your pup looking fresh and fabulous for Christmas, now is a great time to start thinking ahead. 🎅✂️🐾

Our final trading day in December will be 23 December, so appointments leading up to Christmas are limited and we expect them to fill quickly.

🌟 POOCH OF THE DAY: NARA! 🌟

Nara is officially one of the Suzi Pooch divas 💅 and she definitely knows it! Alongside her besties George and Gooseberry, she’s always right in the middle of the daycare fun and keeping up with all the latest Suzi Pooch gossip. 😂🩵

She is the most gentle, kind and affectionate girl. Nara absolutely loves a snuggle, will happily curl up beside you and is always generous with her kisses. 🥹💕 She brings so much joy to daycare and we absolutely adore having our beautiful Nara with us! 💅🩵🐾
