Kitana is not your average filly. She is part athlete, part adventurer and part professional boundary-tester—with just enough charm to make sure she gets away with it.

This bright young Warlander filly is in the process of being registered in the main Studbook of the Warlander Society. She is sired by Celere, an imported Lusitano who competed at the Tokyo Paraolympics, and out of Mary Poppins KP, a KFPS Friesian mare by preferent sport stallion Beart 411.

Kitana is bold, curious and completely unafraid of life. She is always looking for the next challenge, the next adventure and possibly the next rule she can bend just a little. Essentially, she is the horse-world equivalent of a tomboy who would rather be kicking a bucket round a paddock, negotiating difficult obstacles and investigating things she probably shouldn’t.

With her intelligence, courage, athleticism and enormous personality, Kitana has all the makings of a future Working Equitation champion. She will keep you thinking, keep you laughing and occasionally keep you wondering how she managed to do the things she did.

She will suit an experienced home looking for a confident, clever and highly trainable young horse with plenty of presence and personality. In the right partnership, Kitana has the potential to become an exciting performance horse—and an unforgettable best friend.

Whilst Friesian horses are doing amazing things in Europe on the International scene at the moment winning international GP qualifiers and placing in the Young horse qualifiers we are over here doing fantastic things at the regional events promoting the breed.

Kelly and I went on a rather large road trip with our 2 kids, an 18 month old and a 8yr old, a mare and a stallion to Geraldton. Took us 7.5hrs to get there but we all arrived in good spirits ready for a fun weekend.

Torrential rain and gale force winds on the first day with arenas and flowers being blown across the ground and not enough sand bags to hold it down. Nevertheless the show must go on! Interstate judge peter_the_horse_whisperer humbly took responsibility for this bad weather 🤪. But with high spirits he generously offered his pearls of wisdom to us through his feedback on our test papers in the comfort and protection of the enclosed judge’s box.

Sunday the sun came out for a spectacular day and we forgot about the weather the day before.

With a very large class in the Prelim Mondo Rock KP who is very new to competition handled himself very well and finished with Reserve Champion for his class.

So Special KP was very consistent with her work and Kelly piloted her to the top of her leaderboard and maintain that position finishing with a well deserved Champion of her Novice class.

Thanks to the dressage committee, judges Peter Shaw, Wendy Cummings and riders at Geraldton for a great weekend, meeting new people and hosting a great event.

Special thanks to Kelly’s parents for helping us with the kids so we could take care of the horses and give them the best possible preparation for success.
