Our little Faraday is loved by his new mummy/nanny Anna.

Faraday’s dearest recipient mum, Miss Pro, was suffering from a rapidly growing cancer in the later stages of her pregnancy. Unfortunately, we couldn’t save her, and it was a difficult time for all at the farm and who knew her.

Miss Pro was loved by all. She was always happy, loved humans and horses, and was always first to eat. She would get along with anyone and above all was an incredible mum who loved her baby.

Anna was introduced slowly over a period of 3 weeks, she gradually started looking after Faraday and Miss Pro.
Ed and Duke would ride to their paddock throughout the day and night to kickstart Anna’s protective Instinkt and it was encouraging to see Anna putting herself in between duke and Faraday.
One beautiful evening, we put Miss Pro to sleep and left her in the paddock with Faraday and Anna so our little baby could say goodbye and realise she had gone peacefully. There was no calling out or distress from anyone.

Anna has even started producing milk and looks after him as if he was her own. 🦄🥰🐎🙌

A lot of thought had gone in to how and who would look after faraday. It was an incredible journey to witness how nature can organically evolve if you let it.

First time out in the paddock..baby sitters are always close by. She settled down nicely with a bit of handholding.
After weaning the baby’s stay in for a week for some handling. Out during the day and in the stable at night with some mini handling session throughout the day. The routine helps them find their calm.
