🐴 A Tale of a Tail Amputation! 🐴

We had an interesting case through the doors at Brookfield Veterinary Surgery yesterday, with one of our equine patients requiring a tail amputation.

Tail amputations aren’t something we see every day, so it was a great opportunity for the team to work together and put our equine surgical skills to work.

From getting our patient prepared, to performing the procedure and finishing up, there were plenty of hands involved behind the scenes to ensure everything went smoothly. 🩺✂️

Swipe through to see a few snaps from the day, including the before and after at the very end!

A big thank you to Dr Jake, Dr Cath, Nurse Miki & our fabulous 5th year vet student Tegan! & everyone involved in helping our patient through the procedure today with lots of pats & cuddles ❤️🐴
