IMPORTANT NOTICE

With the Australian Barrel Horse National Finals being held in Tamworth, Silver City Riding Academy will be operating with a skeleton staff and horses next week.

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision not to hold riding lessons from 8–14 September. Although we pride ourselves on consistency and reliability, we believe this is the best decision for the safety of our riders, horses and staff, while also helping to prevent staff burnout.

If your regular lesson falls within these dates, we will happily arrange a make-up lesson once we return home. Payment is not required if you do not require a make-up lesson.

Please note that this only applies to the Riding Academy. Our NDIS support services will continue to operate as normal.

Building a strong core!
A strong core helps you stay balanced, upright, and secure while riding. It allows you to move with the horse, use your legs and hands independently, communicate clearly, and avoid relying on the reins or gripping with your legs.

The kids work hard developing their skills while on horse back.

Hi everyone,
Our road has become extremely busy and unfortunately, there are some careless drivers around.

We ask that you please walk your child to the gate when dropping them off and collect them from the gate at pick-up time.

Cars and vans have been speeding through the pull up and parking areas, making it unsafe for people during the Mundi Bash period.

I love mums reaction, been there done that a million times 😆

For a parent a first canter is a feeling that’s hard to describe. It’s not because they’re doing anything extraordinary, but because you can see their confidence growing, their love for horses shining through, and another little milestone being made.

Those breathtaking moments don’t just happen at the beginning of their journey. They happen every time they master a new skill, share a quiet bond with the horse, overcome a challenge, or simply smile as they ride past.

The trophies and ribbons are wonderful, but it’s these little moments that become the memories you’ll treasure forever.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a grass rein that’s easy to set up and can be swapped between ponies?
The fewer knots to tie and the more clips, the better!
