H5 bird flu

The Broadmeadows vet have implemented strict protocols to help protect our wildlife. We ask that you do not bring wildlife directly to the clinic without prior notification to us. Please phone the clinic and one of our team members will give you further instructions. If you are instructed to bring wildlife into the clinic we ask you to remain in your vehicle upon arrival call the clinic once here and our staff will provide you with further instruction.

Feline parvovirus (panleukopenia) Alert

We are currently seeing an increase in cases of feline parvovirus in the Broadmeadows and surrounding north west suburbs. This is a highly contagious and potentially fatal virus especially in kittens and unvaccinated cats.

Signs
Lethargy/weakness
Loss of appetite
Vomiting
Diarrhoea
Fever or low body temperature

If your cat is showing any of these signs get veterinary care immediately

It can be prevented by ensuring vaccinations are up to date.
