Lol I found some new fun equipment at Kmart that we can use for the pups… who cares it’s designed for kids right?

Lol one comes with large and small sensory discs and a bonus blind fold…. Guess what we played with.

Brian amazes me everyday with how willing he is to try anything.

Lol all but the blind fold will be useful in the upcoming zoom paws and props and multi dog classes 🙂

Today I caught up with Bonnie who is worried walking away from her yard, environmentally sensitive and worried by new people - she did amazing and we built on a few of our strategies from her previous zoom session.

I also had the most amazing session with Mojo and his mum. He has come so far, and was so confident out and about even without his support sister. We played some nose work on the tree near the playground. Seeking turns off avoidance and he barely noticed and certainly wasn’t worried.

And good ol Zeike who was amazing, calm and confident at the cafe. It had been a month since our last session and he gave the most amazing welcome.

Hi All, just giving you a heads up

The planned Zoom 12 week courses won’t be going ahead this year, as it looks like I’ll be having surgery at the end of the year (finishing the next TAFE term) and will be out of action for a few weeks.

Instead, I’m looking at running mini 6 week versions of some of the courses - $150 each. This way we will finish before surgery scheduled and classes won't be disrupted.

Potential zoom courses include:

🐾 Separation Struggles Mini
🐾 Reactive Dog Mini
🐾 Cooperative Care
🐾 Multiple Dogs

If any of these interest you, please comment or message me so I can gauge numbers and choose which courses to run.

Over the next couple of days I’ll put together a plan and keep anyone who’s expressed interest updated.

We had a bit of a scare today. I accidently disturbed what is pretty confidently thought to be an Eastern Brown snake today while pressure washing.

So a reminder that snakes are out and about, even in suburbia.
Our yard is well mown etc, however there was a small amount of leaf litter build up between a path and fence and that is where he was hiding.

So get out there and clean up the hiding spaces, take care when moving garden tools and plant pots etc.

If you see a snake, don't panic (though you might leap as high as I did), step back and give it space.

The pups have been kept inside today to allow him time to move on and I messaged the neighbours that also had dogs etc as well. My neighbour called the snake catcher and he is pretty positive he was a male Eastern Brown on the hunt for a lady and said the snakes are well and truely out and about.

We have a regular green tree snake and I've seen him/her around in the past week too.

I also double checked with our local emergency clinic to confirm that if one of the pups was to be bitten that they would have antivenin - worth a check, because most GP clinics won't have it in stock.
