I honestly cannot believe Eva is still here. Teenager-me would have sold a kidney for a horse like this. If you are a genuine rider looking for a brave, clean, jump-loving partner in crime who won’t break the bank, wake up and look at her.
The Facts:
Eva is a 16.1hh, 6yo Thoroughbred mare located in Carbrook. Full history available. She retired sound in March 2026 after a successful racing career. She was ridden by apprentices and has a reputation for being a quiet, sensible, sweet-natured, and GUTSY mare.
The Real Talk (Please Read This Before Calling):
She is six. She is not a schoolmaster. Sometimes she picks up the wrong lead to the right. She is responsive to the leg (some call it "forward moving," I call it "not having to kick like a mule").
⚠️ How to ride her: She appreciates a soft contact. If you drop the reins completely and grip with your legs for dear life like you're on a mechanical bull, she will go. Once you remember your reins exist, she stops easily because she has a soft mouth.
The Fun Stuff:
She LOVES jumping. She is already happily popping 95cm cross-country fences, related lines, water, ditches, apexes, and arrowheads. Whatever you ask- she will oblige. She is smart, adjustable, and cross-countries in a plain old snaffle. Again—she will "travel" to a fence. Do not sit there squeezing her continuously.
She is incredibly calm for a young horse, but she is not a robot. Do not contact me if you want a lazy horse you have to kick along, a Grand Prix dressage star, or a 2* eventer for pocket money.
She has a brilliant, solid foundation on the flat, has done clinics/training days, and behaves the same away as at home. She is ready to compete.
