💙 Welcome Prince 💙

Prince has officially arrived in foster care and we couldn’t be happier to see him enjoying some of life’s simple comforts 🐾

A warm jacket.
A soft bed.
Other greyhounds to play with.
And a whole new world to explore.

Prince is loving spending time with other greyhounds and is busy investigating everything around him. Every day brings something new to discover and learn.

Watching greyhounds experience home life for the first time is one of the most rewarding parts of rescue. Seeing them relax, make friends, find comfort and start to show their personalities is what it’s all about 💙

Prince is still settling in, but we can’t wait to share more of his journey with you.

💙 Greyhound Insight 💙

Have you ever noticed your greyhound spotting another greyhound from across the park? 👀🐾

Many greyhound guardians say their dogs seem to show a special interest when they see another greyhound, often becoming more alert, curious or eager to say hello.

Why might this happen?

Greyhounds have a very distinctive shape, movement and way of communicating. Many rescued greyhounds have also spent much of their early lives around other greyhounds, so they are familiar with the body language and behaviours of dogs that look and move like them.

Research suggests that dogs can recognise and respond differently to dogs that share similar physical characteristics and social behaviours. For greyhounds, their unique build, expressions and movement patterns may make other greyhounds easier to read and understand, helping them feel more comfortable or interested during an encounter.

While greyhounds can form wonderful friendships with dogs of all breeds, there is often something special about watching two greyhounds meet. Sometimes it’s as if they’ve spotted an old friend in the crowd 💙

💙 These greyhounds need foster or foster-to-adopt homes 💙

Right now, we have multiple dogs waiting for the chance to move from kennels into home environments.

Fostering changes everything for these dogs. It helps them settle into everyday life, allows us to learn more about them, and gives them the best chance at successful adoption.

Foster to adopt is also a great option if you are interested in adoption but would like to make sure the dog is the right fit first.

Without foster carers, we cannot continue helping dogs in need.

💙 Onslow is ready for adoption enquiries 💙

This big brindle boy has been settling beautifully into foster care and we would really love to find the right home for him 🐾

At 36kg, Onslow is affectionate, playful, intelligent and full of personality. He loves his walks, enjoys playing fetch, learns quickly and absolutely loves being around people.

One thing we’ve noticed is that Onslow really enjoys company and has done wonderfully with every medium to large dog he has met so far. Because of this, we think he could make an ideal second dog in the right home 💙

He has been spending time with a young border collie and has been very well behaved, sharing space, toys and beds without issue.

✔ Walks well on lead
✔ Loves toys and food
✔ Learns quickly with training
✔ Affectionate and cuddly
✔ Social with other dogs

Like many young dogs adjusting to home life, Onslow will need someone willing to continue guiding him and helping him settle into a routine. He is smart, eager to learn and very food motivated, which makes training rewarding.

And yes… if you leave a bag on the kitchen counter, he may investigate it on your behalf 😄

We really want to start receiving applications for this boy. He has so much potential and so much to offer the right home 💙

💙 Welcome Shyla 💙

Our newest foster girl has arrived 🐾

Shyla is just 2 years old, never raced, and already showing us what a sweet girl she is.

✨ 28kg of cuddles
✨ Loves her food
✨ Loves her toys
✨ Good with dogs and strangers
✨ Learning quickly about the big wide world

Everything is still very new to her, so she can be a little timid at times, but she is already doing so well with loud noises and new experiences 💙

And honestly… those cuddles are next level.

We cannot wait to watch her confidence grow in foster care and share her journey with you all.
