Two lovely greyhounds are still waiting in kennels, and we have no foster carers available for them.

Meet Jill and gus:
💙 Jill | 5 years | 25kg Friendly, chilled and loves a play.
💙 Gus | 4 years | 32kg A handsome blue boy who is super relaxed, friendly and gets along with other dogs.

They are ready for the chance to experience life outside the kennels, but they need someone to open their home to them in Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast and any area in-between💙💙💙

Could you foster Gus or Jill? Or perhaps foster to adopt and see if one of them is the perfect addition to your family?

This Sunday, greyhounds and their humans around the world will be getting together to celebrate these amazing dogs!
If you’re in Brisbane or surrounds, there are walks happening throughout Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast and Bribie Island. So grab your harness, leash and your favourite greyhound and come along!
It’s a wonderful chance to meet fellow greyhound lovers, make new friends and show the world just how special greyhounds are. 💙.

Two greyhounds. Two loving dogs. Two dogs still waiting in kennels.

We urgently need foster carers or foster-to-adopt homes for Gus and Jill.

💙 Jill | 5 years | 25kg
Friendly, chilled and enjoys a good play.

💙 Gus | 4 years | 32kg
A beautiful blue boy who is super relaxed, friendly and gets along well with other dogs.

The problem?

We don’t currently have foster carers available for them.

So they are still waiting in kennels while we search for someone who can give them the chance to experience life as a family dog.

And they don’t need to wait for a forever decision straight away.

FOSTER TO ADOPT 💙

You can welcome one of them into your home, give them time to settle in and see if you are the perfect match.

They deserve a future. It’s time to make your voice count.

There is currently an open Queensland Parliament e-petition calling to phase out greyhound racing in Queensland.

And we need your help.

We’ve seen first-hand what happens when greyhounds are given the opportunity to become what they were always capable of being: loving companions, family members and simply dogs.

We’ve seen them arrive in foster care and discover beds, toys, walks, cuddles and home life.

We’ve watched them go from waiting for their next chapter to sleeping on someone’s couch, walking along the beach and becoming deeply loved members of families.

Every greyhound deserves that opportunity.

That’s why we’re asking you to take action today.

💙 PRINCE HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! 💙

We couldn’t be happier to share this beautiful adoption update!

Prince has a new home, a new sister and, by the looks of things, he has settled in wonderfully. 🥰

From happily roaching to sharing the bed, Prince is already enjoying all the little comforts of home. And it seems he has even found himself a yoga buddy! 🧘‍♀️🐾

Seeing a rescue greyhound relax, feel safe and become part of a family is what second chances are all about. 💙

We wish Prince and his new family a lifetime of happy naps, shared beds, morning stretches and all the love a greyhound could ask for.

Happy forever, beautiful Prince! 🐾💙

At Greys 2nd Chance, we work to give greyhounds the care, support and opportunity they need to move on to a loving new life.

Fundraising helps us continue that work.

If you’re heading into the weekend, here’s something we hope puts a smile on your face.

Look at Freddy now. 💙

Not long ago, he was waiting in a kennel, wondering what was next.

Now he’s got a beach, a sunset, his very own human and a whole new life to enjoy.

From waiting…
to living. 💙

These photos say so much.

A dog who now has somewhere to call home.
A human who has found a wonderful companion.
And a beautiful reminder of what can happen when someone says yes to a greyhound.

Freddy’s second chance is exactly why we do what we do. 🐾

We couldn’t be happier seeing him enjoying beach walks, sunset adventures and life with his human.

Congratulations Freddy! We hope your weekend is filled with plenty more walks, cuddles and adventures. 💙
