The secret to a balanced, happy dog?

It's not about keeping them busy every minute of the day!
While play and enrichment are important, letting dogs play for hours on end without enough rest can result in overtired dogs, overstimulation and accidents.
Just like us, dogs need time to switch off and recharge.

Structured rest is just as important as playtime, helping dogs regulate their emotions, recover from activity and feel more settled throughout the day.

Because a happy dog isn't necessarily the dog who's been playing all day — it's the dog who's had the right balance of everything!

Here’s how our first few days at home with Bub went 🩵

We knew bringing a baby home would be a change for the girls, so we wanted to make the transition as calm and positive as possible.

✨ No immediate introductions
✨ Kept the girls’ routine the same
✨ Reinforced place & calm behaviour
✨ Slow introductions at the dogs’ pace
✨ No forced interactions — focusing on neutrality instead

We didn’t rush it or expect the girls to immediately understand what was happening. We gave them time to adjust, lots of positive reinforcement and allowed them to experience Bub at their own pace.

For us, it was all about making Bub a normal part of their environment rather than making her a big, exciting event.
It’s all about setting everyone up for a positive relationship from the beginning. 🩵
