Public Statement from Pawsitive Pet Grooming
9 Rise Street, Mount Gravatt East, QLD

A former contract groomer, whose engagement with Pawsitive Pet Grooming ended in April 2026, has posted an advertisement on Nextdoor promoting private in-home grooming. The ad uses a photo of a client's dog taken at our salon. Neither our business nor the client authorised this use.

One of our clients came across the post by chance while browsing social media, and raised questions and concerns about it with us. As the business owner, we needed to respond. We then sought legal advice and decided to issue this statement.

Photos taken at our salon are used only on Pawsitive Pet Grooming's own social media, and only with the owner's permission. Pawsitive Pet Grooming does not endorse or authorise this former contractor's private grooming work.

Within 7 business days, we ask the former contractor to provide:

A written apology to our business and to the affected client.
A written commitment to stop using our clients' pet photos and to remove any existing material that uses them.
A written commitment to stop stating or implying any affiliation with Pawsitive Pet Grooming.
To fellow salon owners: please make sure your agreements clearly protect client photos and privacy after a contractor or staff member leaves.

If we don't receive a satisfactory response within 7 business days, our lawyer will take further legal action.

We have kept our grooming prices unchanged since January 2024, despite the continued rise in the cost of living.
As a small business, we now need to make a small price adjustment, effective 1st October, 2026.
We truly appreciate the loyalty and support of our wonderful clients. As a thank you, our long-term clients, as well as new clients who continue to support us, will receive a special discount as our way of showing our appreciation.

🐾 Summer & Christmas Bookings — A Little Reminder 🐾

First of all, thank you so much for all the support from both our new and long-term clients. ❤️

With summer just around the corner, we’re getting ready for what is always our busiest time of the year, especially leading into Christmas. We’d like to give some of our clients a little reminder to start planning your appointments ahead of time.

If you’ve ever tried to book online and noticed that there are no available appointments, please don’t assume we’re fully booked for everyone.

Some of our clients require specific styling and grooming appointments with Lilac personally, while others have multiple dogs (3 or more) visiting together. These appointments require more time and planning, and availability becomes especially limited during the busy summer season.

For these clients, we strongly recommend keeping your appointments within a 6-week schedule and, ideally, rebooking your next appointment when you pick up your dog. 🐶✂️

This helps us make sure we can maintain your dog’s style consistently and, most importantly, secure your preferred appointment time throughout the busy season.

As we approach Christmas, regularly rebooked clients will naturally have priority for ongoing appointments, while unbooked spaces may need to be offered to other clients.

So if you have a particular style, a regular grooming schedule, or multiple dogs that need to be booked together — please don’t leave it until the last minute! ❤️

It’s that time of year again — puppy season, when lots of first-time puppy parents bring their little babies in for their very first groom. 🥰

For many new pawrents, it’s their first time raising a dog, and trusting us with such an important first grooming experience means so much to us.

And little Nala? She was an absolute superstar! ✨
So calm, confident and relaxed throughout the whole experience — she truly looked like she was enjoying every minute of it! 😌🐶

A puppy’s first groom is such a special milestone, and we’re so happy to be part of Nala’s grooming journey from the very beginning. 🤎

Our new local Pick-up & Return Point Service makes grooming and daycare easier for busy pet parents.

Simply meet us at your selected local pick-up point and scheduled time. We will safely transport your pet to our salon for grooming, daycare, or both, then return them to the same location at the scheduled time.

Initial pick-up and return points:

📍 3 & 19 Railway Terrace, Milton
📍 39 Vernon Terrace, Teneriffe

Choose from:

🐶 Grooming + Daycare
✂️ Grooming only
🐕 Daycare only

Just a quick reminder that Lilac’s appointments before her leave on April 3rd are almost fully booked, with only limited spots left over the next few days.

From April 3rd to April 17th, our online booking will be temporarily closed. If you need bath services, daycare, or boarding during this time, please feel free to DM us or give us a call.

Exciting update on our much-anticipated Pet Pick-Up Service Van! 🚐🐾

The full commercial wrap design for the van has officially been completed! A huge thank you to our amazing design team for all the late-night discussions and dedication that went into bringing this vision to life.

The van is now moving into the next stage — full wrap installation and interior fit-out. The workshop estimates it will still take a few more weeks before delivery.

We know many of you have been waiting for this service, and we truly appreciate your patience. We can’t wait to reveal the final result soon… stay tuned! ✨🐶
